Riders who want to experience the thrill of new Harley® models or try riding an iconic classic model are welcome to book a motorcycle test drive at a nearby Harley-Davidson® dealer. Our online request form lets riders select a model and then select where they would like to take the ride from a list of available locations. Typing a local ZIP code into the Find a Dealer tool will return the addresses of any Harley® dealers located in that general area that have the model the rider is looking for.
Riders must supply contact information and confirm that they have a valid motorcycle license before they can take a Harley-Davidson® motorcycle test ride. Test rides can be booked for the models listed as available at that location or for motorcycles built with H-D's Bike Builder platform and sent to that location. Simply fill out the form to book a motorcycle test ride on a Harley-Davidson® bike today!
Scheduling a motorcycle test ride at a local dealer allows you to get a feel for the bike and evaluate whether it might be a good fit. If you're prepared for the ride and you know what to look for, taking a test ride can be a huge assist in your purchasing process.
Check with your dealer for test ride models available, some model exclusions may apply.
-A valid driver’s license with a motorcycle endorsement. Make sure you can prove you’re a licensed motorcyclist. We can’t let you test ride with just a permit or with the card you got from your motorcycle training course. Proper riding attire. For the best experience and most enjoyable ride, you should bring proper riding gear: a jacket, gloves, full length pants, and over the ankle boots.
-A D.O.T. approved helmet. You’ll know it’s D.O.T. approved if it has the sticker or label on the back. Look for one with a thick inner lining, substantial weight and quality chin straps and limits.
-Eye protection. To prepare for the wind you're about to feel in your face, and also protects your eyes from debris. If your helmet has a face shield, that counts. If not, bring sunglasses or motorcycle goggles.
It’s best to arrive 10 minutes before your ride is scheduled to allow plenty of time. Your local dealer will want to visit with you before your ride to familiarize you with the bike and some basic safety guidelines. Please note, test rides are typically available only weather permitting.
