FIRST RESPONDERS' APPRECIATION DAY
Friday brings another full day of motorcycles, Museum experiences and free live entertainment while paying tribute to the first responders who answer the call when it matters most.
Firefighters and law enforcement receive free admission to the Harley-Davidson Museum, and the day features two special programs tied to the people and stories behind unforgettable moments in history. Go behind the lens with world-renowned photojournalist Allan Tannenbaum, whose decades-long career has captured some of the most iconic figures and defining moments in American culture.
Later in the evening, the Museum will recognize FDNY firefighter Tim Duffy. In observance of the upcoming 25th anniversary of 9/11, Duffy’s Harley-Davidson motorcycle will be be presented to be displayed in the H-D Museum, honoring its lasting significance as a symbol of courage, resilience and service.
Spend the day exploring the Museum and campus, then stay for an evening of live music and a special First Responders recognition before Colt Ford takes the main stage.

Friday, September 4 is First Responders' Appreciation Day at The RIDE Home, honoring the firefighters and law enforcement officers who serve their communities, along with the families who support them. All active and retired firefighters and law enforcement officers receive free admission to the Harley-Davidson Museum on September 4.
In recognition of the 25th anniversary of September 11, the Harley-Davidson Museum will welcome FDNY firefighter Tim Duffy, who rode his Harley-Davidson motorcycle into New York City on the morning of September 11, 2001, responding to the World Trade Center attacks. The motorcycle will be presented to the Harley-Davidson Museum to be displayed in recognition of the 25th anniversary of 9/11 during a special Main Stage ceremony.
Also joining the Museum is Allan Tannenbaum, the acclaimed photojournalist who captured the iconic image of Duffy riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle toward Ground Zero that morning. Tannenbaum, former Chief Photographer for the SoHo Weekly News, is known for documenting New York City’s cultural history and has photographed figures including John Lennon and Yoko Ono, The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Patti Smith, Andy Warhol and Muhammad Ali.
Museum guests can hear from Tannenbaum during Behind the Lens: Allan Tannenbaum, World-Renowned Photojournalist, a special one-time Museum program from 4 to 5 p.m., included with Museum general admission.
