Rated 1 out of 5 by Must have a lemon... I was hopeful that the compact design of this product would meet my needs for winter storage. I have attempted to use this product three times and it has failed on each occasion. My Deltran Battery Tender works flawlessly. I hope this is an isolated case. Very disappointed... April 25, 2016

Answer:
Hi sdfatbob,

Harley-Davidson only tests products manufactured and authorized by Harley-Davidson. However, this product is manufactured to work with 12-volt batteries in the US, Canada, Mexico and South America.

Thanks.

I am considering switching to a lithium ion battery, and would like to know if this charger will work with that type of battery as well as it does with the OEM Harley Lead Acid Battery?

Thank you

Answer:
Hi Surgeon,

GREEN LIGHT FLASHING - When the green light is flashing, and the amber light is on, the battery is greater than 80% charged and may be removed from the charger and used if necessary. However, this is not a good idea for deep cycle batteries. Whenever possible, leave the battery on charge until the green light is solid.

ALTERNATING AMBER & GREEN LIGHTS FLASHING – This is abnormal and most likely indicates that the battery is sulfated.

Thank you for your question.

Answer:
No, you just have to remove the seat and attach the leads to the battery and you're good to go. Another option is to add a battery charging harness. This gives you an easier and quicker hook up because you won't have to remove the seat every time you want to put your bike on the tender.

There are a couple of options for you below.

Battery Tender

I have the battery tender plugged in and the light is solid green. I disconnected the charger from the bike this morning and the bike would not start. Plugged it in and light turned solid green again. Any thoughts on why it sounds like the battery is dead?

Answer:
Hello Texassoldier77,

Please contact your local dealership for assistance with your bike. If the battery is showing it is fully charged, there may be other issues as to why it is not starting.

Thank You!
