Shorty antenna that screws into the factory antenna mount
Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 12 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by These seem to work better than stock I had both the AM/FM and the CB shorty antennas on my 2008 Ultra and have now replaced the OEM whip antennas on my 2015 Limited with the shorties. They seem to receive better than stock and fit better in my garage and are easier to place a cover over. February 23, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Lower profile antennas look much better. I don't notice any difference in reception quality or radio range. And I definitely like the shorter look. And the install doesn't get any easier than this. February 1, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Spotty Reception These look Pretty cool but reception very spotty. I ride to work( 10 miles away from New York City), and popular radio stations go in and out. Very annoying! After one week I put the stock antennas back on, they work great! July 1, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Cool but... I bought this when I installed the front guards for the saddlebag. It does look cooler than stock, I like the clean look. But I did notice a difference in reception. May 19, 2014

Answer:
Your antenna does have a small marking near the base threads. The CD antenna is on the left side, the transmission shift side. One tip, when you install the new shorty antenna the instructions state that you should use a small amount of Loctite. I used number 243, keeps the antenna from falling off due to vibration while allowing you to remove the antenna if needed.

I was told the wiring harness changed in 97 and I could not change stereos. This one has blue tooth and appears to be for 96 and up bikes? Also, I bought new antennas and do not know which side is for the CB and which side is Radio. H-D mechanic said they were for 98 and up but try them. They do not seem to make a difference if I have them on or off. Same sound, slight static.
