John Olin is Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Harley-Davidson Motor Company, responsible for Financial Planning and Reporting, Information Systems, Treasury, Tax, Internal Audit and Investor Relations.
Olin joined Harley-Davidson in 2003 as Vice President and Controller. Prior to that, he served as controller of Kraft Foods' Cheese Division, and had 12 years of financial leadership at Kraft, Oscar Mayer Foods and Miller Brewing Company. He also held positions with financial services and specialized consulting firms including Ernst and Whinney (now Ernst and Young).
Olin serves on the Board of Directors of Exide Technologies, a global producer and recycler of lead-acid batteries. He is Chairman of the Exide Audit Committee. Olin also serves on the Board for the New York Stock Exchange Advisory Board. In addition, Olin serves on the charitable Board of BizStarts, an organization that helps entrepreneurs launch and grow companies that create sustainable jobs.
Olin earned a bachelor of science degree in accounting from Indiana University, an MBA in financial management from the University of Chicago and holds Certified Public Accountant and Associate Risk Management designations.
