Poor Quality Chaps
The leather used to make these chaps is thin, which I don't mind because I found them to be very comfortable. What I soon found out is that the quality just wasn't there. There is a snap for the leg zipper which is supposed to ensure the zipper doesn't come unzipped while riding, but it is small and not very strong. On about the third time wearing the chaps, the zipper started to unzip while I was on the highway (the snap had let go). I didn't notice it until it was unzipped past my knee. By then the wind had caught the chaps and pulled the snaps right out of the leather, partially due to the leather being so thin. I took them to a seamstress to be repaired and noticed some of the seams are letting go and will need to be repaired as well. In order to fix the snaps, some of the leather will have to be replaced, as there are large holes where the snaps used to be. Just disappointed with the quality of this product. Not what I expected from Harley Davidson.

Failures with HD Chaps
This is the second pair of these chaps that I've purchased in the last 8 years. The first pair simply fell apart after 5 years. The newer pair has had all of the snaps replaced a couple of times. I finally went to a fabric store and bought some quality snaps. The stitching has been coming apart at the seams and I've been lucky to get them mended. The final straw came last week following a two week camping trip when the belt buck clasp broke (made from pot metal). I still had another 340 miles to go getting home and temps were in the 30's. I had to fashion a buckle out of a couple of my bungee cord hooks. I'm now looking elsewhere for my next set of chaps.

These are nice, fit well and keeps these bugs from feeling like pellets. The only reason that I give them an average rating is the snaps on the bottom do not stay snapped when riding at highway speeds.

Great but don't fit
I used the size chart information to order my fiancé a pair of chaps, unfortunately they don't fit.
I have the invoice but the tags on the chaps accidentally got thrown away.
Is there any way to exchange these for a larger size?
