Tour-Pak Luggage Interior Light is rated 2.7 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Easy to install nut difficult to turn on The button to turn on the light is underneath the lens and because the button is so small you have to be very precise in where you push. Turning on the light is hit or miss, sometimes you get lucky and get it on the first try, othertimes.......

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent Fitment and lighting So I wasn't happy with how hard it is to turn on and off but after playing with it for a while I did get the hang of it. Now it is second nature to operate it. I do understand that you don't want objects in the tour pack to turn it on so there is a trade off on the ease in which it works. Again, it all quickly becomes second nature and turning it on and off is no problem. No after-market product looks as good as this and integrates as well as this does especially of you have the tour pack lid liner as I do. Very nice product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hard to Turn on I find it to hard to turn the light on. It is defiantly not a soft touch switch. you are better off with a small flash light.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Over Priced Disappointment My biggest disappointment was discovering that it does not come on automatically when you open the tour-pak lid like the old light did. On top of that it is very hard to switch on and off. The push button switch is in the center of the light, under a hard plastic lens. I usually have to push it three or four times to turn it on or off. I showed the local H-D dealer the problem and he gave me the standard "they are all like that" answer. (If they are "all like that" then fix or replace all of them!)

Does this part fit a 2014 Tri Glide with the stock Tour Pak?

Asked by: GARA
Hi Gara, We investigated and found that while it is likely that the part will fit a Tri-Glide motorcycle, our engineers have not physically verified this fitment, which is why it is not listed in the catalog. Based on your question, our engineering staff will investigate further to see if we can add the Tri-Glide model to this fitment statement. Thank you for the very good question.

Does the included grommet mean it is necessary to drill a hole for the wire?

Asked by: Phlathd
You MAY need to drill a hole... If you purchased a tour pack for a Street Glide, and you have not had any other electrical items installed in/on it, then you will need to drill a hole. If you look at the installation instructions for the tour pack speaker boxes ( ) you can see where the hole for the grommet is at on the front lower right of the tour pack. If you have an Ultra, my guess is that the grommet has a larger hole since you are adding more wires. HD has not provided a template for this hole, or a template for the holes to add the LED light bar, but I have been told that they are in the works.

Can this be used with either of the lid mounted organizers?

Asked by: Phlathd
Yes it can be but it is not a quality design since it is so hard to turn on and off that you will only be frustrated if you cut a hole in your tour pack liner and find out that the light is virtually unusable!! If you buy this product you will most likely return it since it simply does not work as advertised.
