Very easy install
I was a little concerned that this was going one of those jobs that sounded easy but wound up being a nightmare. But it couldn't have been easier to install. Look at the before and after in the pictures. I installed them with the chrome master cylinder and switch housing kit.

Chrome Switch Covers
Ordered a set of these Switch covers to make my Switch Housings look even better. I have a problem with them coming off. The first time it came off, luckily it landed between my leg and gas tank. Put it back on and fell off somewhere on my next ride. Now I have to find a Light HI?LO cover to replace it. I don't want to buy a new set if it isn't going to stay on. Not Happy.

Make the switch
I've always liked the offset look of chrome switch caps in the stock black housing. In sets for previous year touring models, a nylon tool for removal of toggle switches was included. This kit doesn't come with that tool, but it's not really necessary. I did have an old car upholstery clip removal tool laying around which I bought from a local parts store, (the cheap one with the red handle) and it worked perfectly. The toggle switches pull right off. The HD manual says to use a pair of pliers and that this action will destroy the switches when pulled off. Mine came off in perfect condition. If you don't care about destroying them upon removal, I think you could even pull them off by wrapping them with cloth, using a pair of pliers to pull them off, and they would remain undamaged. They really do come off easily.
Another not so common tool you will need is a T-6 torx for the toggle switch housing. I had one of those all in one mini torx screwdrivers bought from the big orange big box store, and luckily it had that size in the handle. There is a method to putting the chrome caps on. You shouldn't see any part of the actual switch extended past the cap. The cap should encapsulate the switch, and if you don't hear them snap in place they're not on right, and they'll just slip off.
Changing the caps for the Rushmore models is a breeze. It took me about 45 minutes, and that's only because I took my time trying to remove a stubborn trip reset switch cap. These caps are not made of metal, but actually chromed plastic pieces. They're nicely finished, and each cap was individually packaged in it's own little plastic bag, The bagged switches came in two stapled sets, one for the left, and the other for the right. I've replaced the caps on previous bikes, and never had a problem with pitting or peeling. The best part is, they look great. Once you've installed these, and begin looking at others, you'll find that in their own subtle way, they'll set your bike apart from all the others. I give them 5 stars!
