Rated 4 out of 5 by from This seat rocks I got my '15 Ultra Limited Low almost 2 yrs ago and have been riding with the stock seat. I thought about replacing the seat a couple of times, but when I priced them I thought they were kinda pricey. I figured I could always squirm a little more and not worry about buying a new seat. Well I got tired of squirming in the seat on long rides so I researched the offerings from HD for seats. I settled on the Sundowner because after reading reviews and going and looking at the seat at the dealer I figured this HAS got to be better than the stock seat. I did not demo the seat instead I just bought it cold turkey. Well I am very well pleased with my choice of seats. I have been on a couple of short 2-3 hr rides and the difference between the stock and the Sundowner is amazing. It feels really good and when I get back from my rides my back is not aching. They tried to sell me the Hammock but that was kinda pricey for me but the Sundowner is money well spent. This seat DOES rock for me. Other reviewers have said that this seat raises them and pushes them forward but I have not had that experience. I am 5' 8"" with normal inseam and I can still maintain solid secure footing when sitting on the bike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great comfortable seat Put this on my 17 RGS & could not be happier. The stock seat was horrible to say the least & caused me lower back pain often. That seat will be sold. This Sundowner sits me at almost the same height as the stock seat did. Not forward or back at all but right where I wanted it too. Center height is fine for me at 6ft tall. Rear pad is perfect for my wife who rides with me occasionally & states the comfort level is very good. Cannot go wrong with this seat. Don't know why anyone would give it a poor review. Works fine for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sundowner Smooth Deep Bucket Seat Like most stock seats the passenger gets uncomfortable on the longer rides. I bought the Sundowner because I liked the looks, size and it'd except the adjustable rider backrest. It does raise you a little bit but what would you expect with more padding. The front of the seat was a little wider but that didn't have any effect on me or my footing. I'm comfortable and so is my wife, a happy wife means less distractions. I ride a 2015 Street Glide, I'm 5'11" with a longer inseam, no issues with my footing or the Sundowner seat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect seat A friend suggested this seat. My wife has fibromyalgia and I have a bad back. The stock seat on our 2016 street glide was so uncomfortable she couldn't ride and I couldn't go far. We got this seat and now I can't keep her off the bike and my back feels great.

Is this seat really narrower than the stock seat on a 17 Ultra Limited?

My stock seat measure 17 in the front and 16 in the back and the dimensions listed for the sundowner are significant smaller. Is this actually true or just a typo?

Will this fit 2010 Road King?

Fitment says it won't, but the instructions have sections for 2013 and earlier models, so I'm thinking it might. I need a comfortable seat for passenger.

Hello Echoman, I am sorry, this seat does not fit a 2010 Road King. Thank you,

Will this seat fit on an 2015 Electra Glide Ultra Classic Low. If so will it be as low and put you back by 2" ?

Asked by: harleycharlie
Hi harleycharlie, Yes, this will work on your 15' FLHTCUL. It will not put you back by any amount worth noting. It is meant more so to make you more comfy and sit upright. I would recommend you contact your local dealer to see if they have a Seat Demo Program. That way you can try out different seats on your ride to see if it is the one you need.

Does this seat move you back further then the stock seat?

I'm a little close to the tank with the stock seat on my 14 Ultra Limited. I'm looking for a seat that will move me back some, but be comfortable enough for long touring. I'm thinking this seat will be better then the TallBoy for touring, but would like to confirm if it moves you back and inch or two over the stock seat. Thanks
Asked by: Troy1667
I fitted one to a 2014 Streetglide & it did exactly the opposite - it moved me further forward & up and made it feel like I was sitting on the tank - I went back to the stock seat. I spoke with the guy at the dealership who stated he had found exactly the same.

Seat Height

Would anyone know if this seat changes the rider height compared to the stock seat and if so by how much?
