Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Seat!! I bought the Sundowner saddle from a friend who never used it. I wasn't crazy about how it affected the look of the bike, but I gave it a shot. Last Sunday, I took a ride with about 200 other bikes on a road I knew was a major pain in the a$$ (literally) with my stock Wide Glide seat. I was amazed and extremely happy with how comfortable this seat is. That road? HA!! I'll run it every day now. Yeah, I kinda wish it didn't affect the look of the bike so much, but I think comfort is much more important than style. Initially, I thought maybe I'd need new shocks - apparently now I don't. Can't say enough great things about this seat! Go Sundowner - you won't regret it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works For Me Each seat is subjective for it's perceived comfort but this one is significantly a better ride than the factory supplied one. It raises you up a bit which gave me a better angle on the foot controls. Coupled with the frame mounted highway pegs made for a position good for long distance touring on a bike that wasn't designed for such a trip. You won't go wrong with this seat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sundowner Seat an extra 2' on the rider's seat made all the difference, and very comfortable compared to the stock seat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfort over looks Was concerned it would change the look of my Fat Bob and it did, but added a sissybar/backrest and it evened it out...So called an old Air Force buddy who lives in D.C. and he met me at the base of the Blue Ridge Mts. In three days we put on over 700 miles on the bikes. There were days we may have search for food or gas, but I never had to search for the right spot to lean or adjust my a@# in order to be comfortable. Good looking seat? Probably not!! Comfortable seat?-Without a doubt!!! And at my age and riding over 700 miles in three days, my a#@ comfort trumps all else.

Will I need to adjust grab strap to install this seat?

Asked by: Rondo82
Hi Rondo82, With the installation of the new seat, you will need to remove the old grab strap and replace it with the new one included w/ seat. The new grab strap will insert where the old one was removed. An I-Sheet is included on Thanks!

How does the Sundowner seat reposition the rider as compared to the stock Switchback (FLD) seat?

Asked by: rauchman13
I tried a demo unit at the local dealer on my FLD. It sat me much higher and further forward. Can't give exact specs but it was significant. Very comfortable. But I found it moved me too far forward.
