How is this better than stock?

I'm new to Harleys, so I don't know about the older bikes. Is this Timken bearing more reliable than the stock roller bearings? Does it handle performance upgrades better? Is it even worth the cost of installation?
Asked by: NightRyder
From what I understand is they used to have the Timken bearing on both sides and for whatever reason they chose to use inferior parts on the left side cause they figured it would take less abuse, so instead of a recall, (cause it's really no safety issue), this is what they came up with. Also worth note the 110s were more acceptable to the left side failure of this bearing. They all can but I've heard the 110s were the issue. So advice to do some research.

Your discription of the timken bearing sleeve states no precision machining involved.

Would it not have to be some type of milling work to get the Timken Bearing Sleeve in the case and centered properly? Plus, would it not have to have precision drilling into the case for the oil feed and oil return to the bearings? If not, would it not cause bearing failure? I want to put this in my 2005 Electraglide CVO 103. I would like to see the installation instructions on this product because I currently have my engine torn completely down due to cam chain tensioner and crank gear failure in my engine (bolt was loose on crank gear and no locktite on threads). I am fixing to order new flywheels and start building engine back and I would like to know more about this product and how to install it as you say "without precision machining". I miss riding my little girl, Thanks!
