Heavy Breather Air Cleaner Kit is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from High flow air cleaner Harley has a very competitive price. With the abundance of after market parts providers Harley has joined and underpriced many of its competitors. The only short fall on this item was not supplying the head breather bolts. It was assumed I still had the factory parts, which I did but if you didn't save them be advised you'll need to purchase them separately.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just a heads up If you happen to drop your bike on the breather you risk knocking it lose. If this happens your bike will begin to suck air and in my case requires a complete tune up. Performance wise I love it. If you get caught in heavy rain it will choke you're bike and cause a random miss.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Screamin' Eagle Heavy Breather Air Cleaner Kit This really opens up the breathing! I coupled this with V&H Short Shots and Harleys Super Tuner Pro and have a VERY noticeable increase in performance. Torque made a huge increase and peaks at 2760 RPM's and holds over a wider RPM range. Horsepower also has increased and now peaks at 4740 RPM's. When I jump on it the response is instantaneous and strong. And my bike sounds fantastic with the Short Shots. I also think the SEHB improves the looks of my bike. Also with the SEHB there is more room for my knee. If you want to run after market headers the SEHB is a must. Or, if you just want to improve the looks, it works great for that as well. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Black Heavy Breather street bob2015 The heavy breather looks awesome on my street Bob. Personal preference in the looks dept., but in terms of performance this intake coupled with the VH short shots and FP3 has really sharpened the throttle response and midrange on the Bob. And the sound is wayyyyyy better. Overall, if you like the look of the heavy breather, it's worth it. And the shipping was fast from HD.

product details

On your bike build it shows this with a black elbow and black frame around filter ( that's what I thought I was getting) when I got my bike from dealer it has a chrome frame around filter they put the rain sock on filter so I didn't know at first this is misleading or did dealer put wrong one on.

rain sock

I had this installed on my 2014 street bob as an add on when I purchased the bike (via the 'build your own' section of the Harley site) .. and as I look at it now I realize that the rain sock is installed over the filter / under the filter cover.. is this a correct installation? I assumed the rain sock was to be put on over the cover in case of rainy conditions, and not as a 'permanent' fixture.. just wondering if that affects air flow / performance or not,,
