Burst Performance Air Cleaner Kit is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect look and performace for my bike! I had the Burst pattern intake put on my 2016 Street Glide Special along with the black SE pipes and mufflers! Wow! what a difference this makes from the stock system. The intake does stick out a bit more than the stock one but due to the way I ride it does not hit my leg at all. See picture, I ride with only my heel on the foot platform and the rest of my foot is on the highway pegs. This position is the same as when you drive a car. I pivot over my foot for the break and back like this was the gas pedal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Upgrade Overall, I'm happy with this product. As some of the previous comments on here indicate, your knee will probably hit it but mine did with the stock one as well. No notable difference for me. I also would highly recommend getting the throttle body cover (PN 61300109 - Chrome or 61300110 - Black) to complete it. If you're spending $375.00 on this part, what's $60 more? The install...not bad. However, if you go to the install instructions it says you have to remove and discard the induction module bracket. I just took my tank off to get the top 2 screws out. Tank removal is super easy and probably faster than fighting another way to remove these screws. The instructions never mention anything about that hardware again but I put those top 2 screws back in. They have to go back in BEFORE any other steps or you'll have to take every back off again since there is no way to get those back in. As with majority of Harley instructions, they try to make it sound all high-tech to scare you away from doing the install yourself. As long as you look at figure 3, lube the O-rings and use Loctite on the bolts as stated it's a breeze. I have the Vance and Hines FuelPak3, so no ECM recalibration was required since I just loaded a map to fit my 2015 Street Glide Special.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Burst air cleaner This does stick out quite a bit and there is a little noise, but not annoyingly loud. There's definitely a noticeable improvement in the low and mid range. This air cleaner does require a computer flash and there's a notice in the box that says if it's not installed by dealer it may void your warranty

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Burst Air Cleaner I put this on my '16 Softail Slim with the calibration download, and as of right now the stock exhaust. It looks really nice, one of the nicest AC's in the HD product line I think. I didn't notice much of an increase in intake noise, but did notice a boost in performance right off. My only complaint is that it sticks out quite a bit and your leg will be hitting it. Also I recommend the throttle body cover for injected bike cause it will be exposed.

Will you Make one for the spoters?

Do you have any plans to do one for the 1200 custom? It will be nice to have a burst collection air cleaner for the 1200. Any way to adapt this one to a sporter 1200
Asked by: Apache

Are you planning to do one for the sporters?

I have the 1200 XLC , any way that I can make it fit ?
Asked by: Apache

Would this be considered a stage one heavy breather.

Asked by: TheGeneral1
Hi TheGeneral1, The Burst Performance Air Cleaner Kit is NOT a Stage 1 Heavy Breather. It is an Air Cleaner Kit--upgrade! Below I have listed a couple of Heavy Breathers for a FLTRXS. 1) P/N 29400285 2) P/N 29253-08B 3) P/N 29006-09B Hope this helps!

Do need a rain cover and where do get one ,thanks

Asked by: James12
Hey James12, We don't offer a rain sock for the Burst Air Cleaner Kit. It is fairly low profile and not as exposed and some our other air cleaners. Thanks! Rockstar883

rain sock???

I did see your answer for no rain sock for the burst performance air cleaner but in the instructions on your web site said no motorcycle with an exposed oil air filter is recommended to ride in any rainy conditions. what if your out and starts raining and you can't stop till it ends. Wouldn't a rain sock help then? Help with explanation for your answer of no given before on this question please. Any info would be most appreciated. Thanks Barry
