Rated 5 out of 5 by from These Rocker Box Covers, well Rock ! While they were a little expensive they really set off the final look of my 103 Engine especially after i added the Finned Headbolt Trim kit. Great quality and heavy hardware that i expected from Harley Davidson. I highly recommend if you want to add some "Style" to your boring Rocker Box Bolts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Product......Once you get them on! These are a must have for your engine! Your engine will look amazing once you get these babies on it! However, they are very hard to put on. I'll bet it took my a hour to get them on! You have to push them down very hard and have them turned just the right way so that the inside fastener aligns just right with the head bolt nuts. BUT, once they are on you will love them!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful covers, but more difficult to install than as advertised The finish of the original rocker box bolts are dull and sit out like sore thumbs against the brilliant chrome of the boxes. These covers are the perfect solution to this issue. However, I found it difficult to install them - the press fitting was a chore. After an hour of zero covers installed and 1 broken fingernail, my solution was to ever so slightly enlarge the spring clip spacing with use of a pair of needle nose. Then it was alternately rotate and push from the edge until it pushed into place. I have completed the installation to the right side of the engine. The left side really only needs covers on the front box as the rear box bolts are sufficiently hidden from view. 2 things would be nice: 1) an instruction sheet, and 2) being able to purchase quantities less than 4 ea.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rocker Box Bolt Covers Rock! I had been considering purchasing these for awhile and finally took the plunge. I bought two sets of four for all of the exposed bolts atop the rocker box on my FLHXS. When I first tried installing them I had no luck at all. The instructions did not explain the process so I assumed you could just press them on from the top. After about 45 minutes of no success and having two sore thumbs I hopped on the bike, rode down to the dealer and asked the service folks if there was a special technique or tool required to pop them on. The service guys said they could do it for a 30-minute labor charge but I was looking for a more reasonable solution. I talked to the parts guy who had sold them to me a few days earlier and he slipped to the back and asked one of the mechanics. The mechanic said they had to be angled on in a certain way. The parts guy came out to my bike, tried it and the first few popped on with ease. I was amazed (embarrassed actually). I tried a few myself and was able to develop the touch - lining up the corner of the bolt with the corner gap in the inner spring and rotating it on slowly but firmly. After about 8-10 minutes all were snapped in place; I slipped the parts guy a ten-spot for his assistance. As the pictures show, they clean up the appearance of the rocker box and give the twins a more overall refined look. I wished I'd bought these earlier and wish I'd put them on my previous Harleys. Live and learn. If anyone has trouble putting them on, give me a call. I'd be glad to take care of it for you for a ten-spot.
