Rated 1 out of 5 by from does'nt work I purchased this to use a Garin zumo 660 that i have owened for several years . I have updated the software to the latest Garmin. And I still get no sound from the radio. I have checked and rechecked the install and everything looks good.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works As Advertised Great unit...works as advertised (Road Tech Zumo 660), install was easy and the directions were clear. Wish the Bluetooth phone part wasn't tied to the AUX jack being used but other than that it works great. I have logged over 30k miles using it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best mount available This was mounted to a 2010 FLHTK. The position puts the Zumo where it can be read at a glance, without the vibration present on most handlebar mounts. Keeps your zumo out of most weather being tucked in behind the fairing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great Paired with the fairing mount so all wires are inside the fairing making for a clean look. Works as described with both the headphones and speakers, no problems.

Road Tech and Ipod Interface together?

I am having the Harley Garmin Road Tech 590 GPS and interface module installed on my 2013 Ultra. I also wanted to also have the Ipod interface module installed so that my GPS announces through the stereo and the Ipod can be controlled through the handlebar controls and use the stereo display. Is this possible? Dealer wasn't sure since both NIMS use the same radio pins. Several blogs indicate it can be done. Please help before they put my fairing back on the bike.

How to set up the 4.3 to actually hear thru speakers

Every time, it seems, I get an Update, the GPS (Zumo 665) has to be reset to work thru the Boom Audio Radio. I have the Interface, Installed at Dealership. I need to have the Settings Procedure to actually make it work. The Service Writer could not figure it out yesterday, and the Tech who installed it has moved on. I work there, as a Customer Test Ride Leader (Glorified Sales Porter) and just never wrote the instructions down. It should not be that difficult, we tried several things.

Harley Davidson....do you answer questions correctly......?????Road Tech Navigation Interface Module

I read reviews on this device and get conflicting answers. I am playing a "CD" on my harmon Kardon Radio....will I have to be in "AUX" in order to use my factory speakers? I have a "660" unit. NOT "665" . Using the bikes radio and "NOT" the gps's , will this work ? I ask "Harley Davidson " and NOT fellow riders. You made the thing, why cant you answer. This seems like an ongoing concern with many riders out there and you have yet to answer clearly....I READ the description, yet, others on here are having a real problem with this, so...please answer. Thank you. I do not wish to get an item that says it will do what I want, yet no one seems to be on the same page when it comes to a clear and PRECISE answer. I would prefer to not pull the fairing off, only to take it apart and return the item. I do NOT USE THE GPS AS A MUSIC DEVICE. I NEED IT TO WORK WITH THE STANDARD RADIO THAT CAME WITH THE BIKE.

My answer is for the Harley Road Tech 660 on a 2013 Street Glide using the Interface Module. The interface module works just like a car. You don't need any Aux Input wire and you can play your music from all radio choices during navigation. When the nav voice instruction comes on the music source will go silent and will come back on when the nav instruction is finished. You can't use the Garmin 660 with this interface module because the fairing mounting bracket has special interface connectors on it. However, you can use the Garmin 660 (as well as the Harley Road Tech 660, if you do not wish to install the interface module) with the aux input wire into the radio, but if you do, you'll have to change your radio input source to the Aux input, which will turn off your music source completely. I hope this helps.

Yes, it plays through your speakers and works just like a car navigation system. Will the NIM work with the new 590 Road Tech GPS on a 2012 FLTRU?

Asked by: wenchal
After reading the fitment description of the NIM on the Harley website it doesn't seem like it will work on your bike. It only mentions the 660 and the 665. Anyway, I'd check with the dealer to be sure.
