Remote Control Garage Door Receiver is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Modify to work with LiftMaster 2.0. etc. The newer LiftMaster systems use low voltage between the opener and the wall switch. The Harley receiver simply closes a circuit when activated so it will not work when connected directly to this LiftMaster. A previous post mentioned soldering the wires to the wall switch but was light on detail. I opened my switch and found the control button has four pins, with pin #1 being marked. Pins 1 and 2 are connected internally, with 3 and 4 also connected internally. The opener is activated when pair 1 and 2 are connected to pair 3 and 4. From the Harley receiver I soldered one wire to pin #2 and the other to pin #3. Being on opposite sides of the button there was less risk of shorting out. I was also very careful not to overheat the circuit board by pre-soldering the wire and then using just enough heat to quickly melt it so it stuck to the pin. Works perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Using with Liftmaster Security+ 2.0 door openers I have a 2015 CVO Limited that came with the garage door opener kit installed and a receiver. I didn't know that the new Liftmaster garage door openers used encrypted serial communication on their wired push-button panels and thus the Harley receiver/dry contact system won't work. So I bought a Liftmaster single button opener and soldered leads to the button / board inside. It works great, no issues and really good range. There's somebody online offering modified receivers or in-line encoders which is probably a better looking solution. But for $20 and 10 minutes effort, this is good enough for me. None of my cars with HomeLink or CAR2U worked with the Liftmaster openers out of the box either so I wouldn't fault Harley on this one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from HD remote garage door opener I purchased a brand new 2016 FLTRUSE with the remote garage door opener. What a great idea, right? I don't need a remote opener in the tour back anymore, which isn't convenient anyway. I set up the HD opener as instructed in the operation manual. Guess what? It doesn't open my garage door. What a bummer! Apparently it won't operate a Liftmaster garage door opener. Just thought you should know if you have a Liftmaster garage door opener and were thinking about purchasing this product. Do I get a new garage door opener? I'm thinking so.........

Rated 4 out of 5 by from COMPATIBILITY ISSUES not disclosed FYI, the receiver is NOT compatible with some garage door openers which is not shown here in the item description nor in the installation instructions. After speaking with HD service dept, we couldn't figure it out. Then I happen to look at the cardboard box it was shipped in, and it says "NOT compatible with Chamberlain, Liftmaster, Sears garage door openers." There was 1-2 more in the list but I don't recall what they were. Genie was NOT one of them - so Genie should work. Anyway, I'm sure the device would work fine had I had a compatible GDO, so I'm not going to give it a bad review. However, the product details on the website here AND in the main instructions should have this incompatibility information instead of only having it on the box and it's in your hands. This had to be special-ordered, so there was no way to know beforehand. Hope this helps others.

Does the receiver work with all garage door openers?

I have a Linear garage door opener. When I connected the wires the door didn't open or close. The light on the receiver flashed when I cycled the high beam switch so I guess the transmitter is talking to to receiver. I also read the wires that run from the receiver to the opener and they were good. I just can't figure out why the garage door opener won't work.

It the transmitter built into an '06 CVO Ultra FLHTCUSE?

In the 'tech specs' I found, it appears that the FLHTCUSE might have the transmitter already, since the garage door opener is listed in its specs (Integral garage door opener and receiver). Since I bought it used, the receiver wasn't included. Is the transmitter built in? If so, do I just need to buy the 91558-01 receiver? Thanks.
Asked by: ScottMac
Hi ScottMac, Yes, the 2006 FLHTCUSE did come stock with a garage door transmitter and receiver. If the transmitter is still in the motorcycle, you would need the receiver, P/N 91562-01, and reprogram it. Thank you for your question.

Is this unit compatible with the Liftmaster 8500 series opener?

Asked by: chrislanning8
Hi chrislanning8, Most garage door receivers that are able to accept the wires from the Harley-Davidson receiver are compatible openers.

Kit Reciever Garage Door Remote 91562-01

This receiver does not work with Chamberlain lift Master doors.. Which receiver will work? I already have the sender installed in bike. Burned up one of the receivers. Don't want to burn two.
Asked by: Scottiebob

I have 2 remote Kits installed on 2 different bikes. Worked on the last 2 houses. It is not working on the new door openers off our new house.

Both bikes are not working. Is there new technology in the younger remote control kits that work for newer door operators? is it possible that the receiver is defective? How can we test it?
Asked by: peublo
Hello Pueblo, Not all garage doors are compatible with the receiver. So since it worked with your 2 previous homes, it may not work with the new opener. Thank You!
