2016 VROD Muscle Windshield
Overall I am very pleased with the appearance, fix and finish, and performance of this windshield on my 2016 VROD Muscle. Looks great and attaches/detaches easily to the fork and pre-drilled sockets in the handlebars. Provides good protection to the torso but too low to shield wind from my face; at 6' 2" the shield just makes it up to my shoulders.

Nice windsheld, looks great on!
I like this windshield. I was afraid that it wouldn't deflect the wind but it does. It deflects the wind off my torso, but I can feel it from my eyes up. Not terrible, but tolerable, I had to get googles because the wind would probably blow the riding glasses right off my face. But other than that, I am very happy with it!

Less Effective Than Hoped-For, But Still Worth It
It is too short to be fully effective. The slipstream is now concentrated just above the face shield on my full-face helmet, producing a new noise (or one that I just didn't notice, before) and some buffeting. Of course, the buffeting is now only on my head, rather than on my entire body.
You taller guys with open face helmets may feel that you aren't getting much benefit from this windshield. When seated, the top of my bare head is 33" above the seat, so I am a bit short in the torso.
The benefit is that the windshield has greatly reduced wind chill on my torso and greatly reduced the wind noise produced at the base of my helmet. Now, I think I can go without the neck pillow I used to seal the bottom of the helmet (the major noise generating site on an otherwise very quiet Shoei Neotec helmet).
The windshield is a huge help on cold days, so I am pleased with it. I am hopeful that a supplementary, adjustable wind deflector mounted to the top of the windshield will fill in the benefit gap.

Lucky the dealer let me return it
The windshield doesn't work for me and I am only 5'6' tall. It takes some wind off my chest but it blows more wind at my helmet than without a windshield #increased helmet buffeting and noise#. There is very little adjustability with this part. The windshield follows the rake of the forks #looks good# but I believe to work properly you need to be able to adjust it more "upright" #which you can't#. Some other problems that I encountered are that at night the headlight causes the windshield to glare #sends light back at you# when the high beam is on because of the headlight on my 14 VRSCF Muscle #lens is open at the top#. The fit is poor for HD P&A and I had difficulty keeping the windshield from hitting the hyd. clutch line fitting. The windshield internal brace doesn't follow the contour of the windshield so it eats up the space between the handlebar and windshield limiting the size of a windshield bag. I would really like to have a windshield for the bike but not this one. I will have to explore other alternatives #aftermarket# since this is the only windshield offered for the Muscle.
