Motorcycle Cover Alarm is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Loud Alarm - But Can You Trust It? So I ordered this through my local Harley dealer and it came in today. When I got home, I tested it after putting the battery in and it is certainly loud. Then I went to install it, and that's where my doubts about this come. I followed the instructions for connecting the snap swivel to the tether strap, ran it through the underneath hole in the pocket and connected it to the pin - no issues. I have a mag wheel, and when attempting to connect to the front disc brake, and lifting up on the cover, it would just come off the disc brake and not pull the pin. The only solution I could think of running the tether strap around part of the wheel and then attach the swivel to the strap. I then tested this, and instead of pulling out the pin, this broke the strap - see picture. Very cheap strap (but for $30, I guess this is expected). I would recommend replacing the strap with something else for peace of mind.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great This cover alarm is just what the doctor ordered. It is as loud as the alarm siren for the bike and draws immediate attention. It actually works better than I expected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MOTORCYCLE COVER ALARM This product works well. It is inexpensive but hidden well under the cover so it is not easy to find if you don't know where it is. I do have a chain and lock on the front end of my cover (thru the slots in the cover and front wheel) but this keeps the back end protected too. The sound of the siren is quite loud so I can hear it even in the house.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does exactly what it's supposed to do. It's $30. It does exactly what it's supposed to do. It's loud as heck. I attach it to my belt guard and then to the strap on my cover. If my cover moves 6", the ion pulls out and the siren goes off. I can easily hear it inside my house. If someone tries to take the cover off of your bike at night, they will crap their pants because this thing is small and loud. It's not easy to turn off so I don't see a could be thief sticking around to figure it out. Again, it's $30. I might buy another!

How easy does the pin pull?

I'm thinking of buying one or two of these to put in my leather saddlebags. It seems that if I hook the clip to something on the top and someone opens my bags when they're not supposed to, I'll hear it happen. Think it'll work?

Alarm Duration?

How long will the alarm sound once activated if it is not deactivated. Will it sound continuously until the battery dies? Or does it turn off by itself after a certain period of time?
Asked by: MrBryan79
Great question! The alarm sounds once the pin is pulled from the device. It will sound continuously until the pin is replaced or until the battery dies. I've never allowed it to go that long so I'm not sure on the battery life but it will last a good while! Hope this helps!
