Milwaukee-Eight Engine Stage III Kit 107CI to 114CI is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Upgrade! I just had this installed on my 2017 Street Glide Special, and it is well worth the money. My dealership was running a special on parts and labor, so I decided to do the Stage 3 rather than just doing a Stage 2. Throttle response is immediate and the engine has a nice lope from the larger cam. My HP went from 79 to107, and torque went from 101 to 119. I normally ride in the 3,000-4,500 RPM range, and the kit thrives in this zone. The power is immediate but manageable. Couldn't be happier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SE Stage III on 2017 RG Ultra THIS is the way these bikes should come from the factory. This really woke the bike up. I am VERY pleased with the resulting acceleration, ridability, and MPG. It gets about 43MPG in town with the Stage III. I should have done this when I bought the bike. OUTSTANDING service by Ventura Harley.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Stage III 110.3 HP/116# Torque. Installed on 2017 Road King last week. Already had SE exhaust and heavy breather. I was kind of disappointed with the Street Canons but with the stage III they now sound half way descent. Bike runs good but I was looking for a bigger difference from stock. I don't feel it when I crank the throttle. Might go w/Vance & Hines big radius next Spring and a tune at a dealer that is highly recommended. I also went with the SE clutch pack and the heavier springs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stunning upgrade I had the stage 3 installed on my 2017 RG special along with V&H headers, OS pipes and breather. Result, 110hp and 114tq. After dyno access to full power from about 2700rpm through to almost red line. For a 400kg bike it pulls like a train and accelerates like a sports bike. Beautiful deep lumpy note from the exhaust and very polite at low speeds as well. Could not be happier with the stage 3 and recommend it unreservedly.

should the RPM redline be increased with the installation of this kit?

Asked by: OrangeExpress
The redline after the stage III kit as presented in the dyno chart that Harley Davidson publishes shows the redline at around 6,000 RPM. However, my motorcycle (2017 Ultra Limited) continues to pull up to about 6,300 RPM. So although the tachometer is unchanged as to where the stock redline begins, it certainly appears substantially changed for me.

Other accessories with Stage 3 upgrade

Pilgrim, Thanks for the feedback regarding your graph with the Dyno testing results. This will give my engine builder and tuner something to shoot for. My Stage 3 kit has arrived but the master mechanic I want to install it is off work for surgery until January 3. I'm taking my Street Glide to him first week of January for install and Dyno tuning. I am hoping to get results similar to yours. Just to be clear I have already installed the SE High-Flow air cleaner kit, SE Cannon slip-ons and have the Pro Street Tuner. Are these the same accessories you have to go along with the Stage 3 kit? In regards to exhaust I have heard good things about D&D 2 into 1 (my brother has them on his electra glide) and they have come out with the 2017 M8 Billet Cat 2:1. They even have them on a 2017 Road King in the slide show. Check out the link below.

Yes, I did the SE air filter that uses the stock cover as I liked how tight it fit to the bike. I also used the SE Street Cannons and Pro Street Tunner. I was going to do the Stage 3 myself over the winter, but opted to have them do it to keep my warranty. I don't like the crossover under the bike and see V&H now makes a set of headers that fit the SE mufflers, but the bike is running so good I hate to F it up. If I did I would have it tunned as I would expect to loose back pressure. By the way my numbers are with the Factory Tune ( no tweeking ) Good luck with yours, I'm in 2' of snow and getting ready for Ice Fishing.

To Pilgrim - Dyno results at crankshaft or rear wheel?

Pilgrim, Harley results show Stage 3 upgrade max torque about 113 ft-lb and max HP about 110 "corrected rear wheel" with the 5250 rpm crossover at about 107 torque and HP. I already added the SE Stage 1 high flow air cleaner, Cannon slip-ons and have the SE Pro Street Tuner. I was considering ordering the Stage 3 based on Harley's numbers but was sold when I read your results and placed my order. The parts just arrived but not installed yet. The dealership just finished another Stage 3 upgrade ahead of mine and results at rear wheel by dyno were 105 HP and 107 Torque. The shop foreman is an engine builder with a 140+HP electra glide so knows what he is doing. Can you post a graph of your dyno results because they are being challenged at this dealership? Thanks,

Rear wheel of course. 133 TQ. 122.1 HP Dumped @ Seacoast HD in NH. Work done @ Rochester HD in NH. These guys build 150 hp bikes. They have a chart on the wall. My bike is 3 in TQ and # 6 in Hp. All the other engines are 120 cu HD. Did you know you can now get a Stage 4 which is also heads? I have 7 bikes my numbers are real. This thing smokes everything but my ZX14R drag bike.

Stage 3 upgrade..

So what mufflers air cleaner and tuner did you use...was it all Screamin Eagle?
Asked by: Tprater
Yes, all Harley. The SE Street Cannons (Slipons) , The the SE intake that mimics the stock filter and the SE Pro Steet Tuner. At the time there was no after market. I am pondering V&H headers now available. However Harley does not have a map for them. I would love to get rid of that cat and restrictive crossover under the bike. I did the same thing on my 14 Limited and couldn't get a sticker due to the increase in noise. The King is louder than stock and barks a real nice deep sound on the gas, but still meets the DB test.

Stage 3 upgrade

Addendum to my first question: I meant to say the compensator was making the noise due to the lope of the cam. If this is true then it will ruin the compensator I would think.

I doubt it, the Mo Co did there work on this new motor. Mine doesn't Idle down to 850 like when it was a 107. It's about 950 now. How about the system that shuts down the rear cylinder ? I've not had to turn mine on. I imagine she would jump arround running on 1 cylinder. I posed this question you had to my Tech yesterday. I'm the only one out of there 3 dealerships that has gone Stage 3. The motor is so new they said just ride it. Found out there is a stage 4 that involves new heads, I can't Imagine needing more power. I can pull the front wheel in 3rd ! Mine did 122.1 HP and 133 TQ on the Dyno. Did they Dyno yours ?
