Left and right deflector and all necessary mounting hardware
Mid-Frame Air Deflector is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 23.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product but didn't meet the need! Bought this as soon as I saw it because my wife has a real problem with heat from the engine/exhaust on her Slim, figured this would take care of it. Not so, while it does deflect some of the engine heat, she still has to ride with chaps to keep from cooking her right leg. Granted, she is vertically challenged, but I have a buddy who also rides a Slim and although he's longer legged, he has the same problem. The item does do what it was designed to do I guess,(deflect ENGINE heat) but if you are having the same issue as my wife, this will NOT cure the problem , so save yourself $90 !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good product. Not so hard to install. Follow instructions and after a few work you'll get it installed. Don't forget to get instructions how to disconnect the battery. I did It and almost got craize with the alarm sounding. I discovered It works very well. Deflector works fine. While you ride in the city It deflects the engine heat from your legs. Not all heat, by the way, but become ride more comfortable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 5 Star product 2 star instructions I gave 4 star because I needed an precutted Allen tool to tighten one screw which easily could had a different technical solution for 5 cents more. It tooke me 35 minutes to install it on my 2016 Softail Heritage Classic end to end. The shield is very effective, it should come as standard on the bike and there are multiple, easier and cheaper solution to do that at industrial scale.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It really works ... There are two options to reduce the intense heat on your right thigh, ... a leather flap or this heat resistant plastic deflector. Shopping around, they cost about the same, so what you choose depends on the look you want. I chose this product as it got great reviews and it made a difference on reducing the discomfort from that rear exhaust pipe. More importantly, it had a cleaner appearance and looks like it came standard as part of the design of my bike. You're still going to feel heat, but not nearly as bad as you did without this incredibly simple device. Fit my 2016 Fatboy like a glove- it was easy to install and I recommend installing the center locking piece (some noted they left it off) but it serves a purpose and should be installed for rigid support.

Breakout

Can this be modified to fit a '16 CVO Breakout?
Asked by: Spudman75

Air deflector question

With the deflector directing the air down and rearward, does this increase the heat on the passengers leg?
Asked by: bobm439
Not really. It definitely protects your inner thigh from the high temps in the summer at idle and at traffic lights. I am glad I added it to my fat boy lo.

part 29200008A on a 2007 FLSTN

I have a 07 FLSTN with the new Road Zepplin air pump seat. The new seat tappers in by the gas tank. The rear cylinder is more exposed. Can I modify the part to fit. Not sure what the difference is between an 07, and 08.
