Styled to complement the nostalgic look of the Softail® Deluxe model, these saddlebags with pleated leather panels are anything but traditional.
- Rigid core allows the bag to retain its shape even after years of use
- Hinged locking lid tilts outward for easy access, and the embossed weave pattern, braided edging and chrome concho trim echo the Softail® Deluxe seat and pillion for a coordinated look
- Luggage capacity: 1900 cubic inches total
Note
Some Harley-Davidson® luggage is made of leather. Fine leathers or other natural materials WILL gain "character," such as wrinkles or wear, with age. This is normal. A fine, aged patina and character wrinkles are a sign of the extremely high quality materials used to construct your luggage. The appearance of scars or marks on the leather are a result of using natural leather panels and should not be thought of as an imperfection. Use Harley-Davidson® Leather Protectant P/N 93600034 to protect your investment.

Great look and quality but a little shy on storage capacity
I purchased these bags for my 2010 FLSTN. The bags are great quality and match the OE seat perfectly. The installation instructions provided with them are accurate and easy to follow. Mounting hardware is included with the purchase of the bags. Storage capacity is as advertised, 1900 cubic inches which is adequate for items you may wish to take on day trips but not much more. The lid locks but there is a small amount of play and water will get into the bags when washing the bike or if caught in heavy rain when riding. Bottom line, they look great but are little shy on storage capacity.

Flimsy Locking Mechanism - Nice looking Overall
Installation needs a T45 Torx to remove the 4 trim bolts from a 2012 Softail Deluxe. Those bolts were on so tight from the factory, two bits snapped in half. After installation was finally complete, I was pleased at the look of the bags. On the test ride (with empty bags), the left bag opened up and would not click shut and stay shut (locked or not). The locking mechanism is plastic and the flex of the lid makes it easy for the plastic locking mechanism to pop off the metal catch inside the bag.
Bags are smaller than expected, but I just need to keep emergency rain gear on one side and small bag with identification, phone, etc on the other side. No more than 7lb can be put in each bag and it is recommended weight bags are balanced between each other.
Pros: Nice looking set of bags, carries what I wanted them to hold, installed very securely onto the bike.
Cons: Flimsy locking mechanism, too much flex in the lid so the bag lid can pop open while riding, Won't fit bikes with aftermarket exhaust.

Saddle Up
Very well built and designed. Great match to the lines and OEM leather seat/pillion of the Deluxe. Like the other reviews state they could be bigger but for what they do have to offer it's a great compromise. The fact that they don't completely cover the rear end is appealing to me - have to show off those white walls... These will definitely last a very long time!
Cannot use the support bracket on the right side if you have an aftermarket exhaust that has replaced or removed the OEM exhaust support. Keep loads light (and balanced) and I don't expect any issues. Installation was very fast and easy.
Use of the Detachables system would be a great bonus to the functionality! Will have to resort to an aftermarket product to get that convenience. Overall still 5/5 - no other bag for the money out there has these features and style.

Looks good,but
Bags match my Deluxe perfect. The bags aren't as large as I anticipated base on the given volume (you'd be lucky to store a leather coat in one of them). I have the docking system for a quick release back rest, the bolt kit that came with the bags where a 1/2" to short yet the instructions does not make note of a bolt change.
