Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT ADDITION I love this Air Intake system.. I was afraid it would be in the way of my leg as I am a tall person but with the oval design it works perfect. my only complaint is the 3 little screw to attach the metal base to the air filer and the medallion on the side, (which the promptly disappeared somewhere in riding the bike) Harley should have included an Allen wrench for them as both my metric and American wrenches did not fit. I had to take them after reordering the missing pieces) to the dealer service dept to tighten them up for me, which they did without any hassle.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Parts dept told me wrong part to get I bought the elite heavy breather only because the parts sales person gave me an estament in buying it and it is the wrong size my 2016 street glide only has a 50 mm intake and this heavy breather has a 58 mm intake it looks sweet harley service still installed it they said it whould work I guess we'll see I do injoy it tho like I said it looks bad and it does its job with more air into its intake like it should

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heavy breather for solid performance I love this intake. Harley quality chrome and not too hard to install although I had to take out the rear bolts on the fuel tank to pry it up high enough to take off one of the brackets that is part of the stock intake that is not used on the install upgrade. It would have been nice to have that noted in the instructions but was easy to figure out. All in all I'm very happy with the aggressive look and performance upgrade.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Expected Better Installation was somewhat easy but I'm disappointed that this did not come with a complete set of chrome finished bolts. There are (8) total bolts that are visible and only (3) are chrome finished. This is frustrating considering the amount of money that was spent on this product. Expected better quality for the finished look.

Any replacement parts ?

I lost the chrome cap( very front oval piece) & the Screaming Eagle logo ! Is there or can I get a replacement for at least the the chrome cover ?
Asked by: Gilmour16

does filter element come in black ?

Asked by: dubb88
No it doesn't. The red color comes from the oil you use on it.

Will the oil breather screws prevent oil from dripping out of this kit?

My current stage 1 set up drips oil out of the bottom of the stock cover. I want to recirculate that oil back into the intake so it quits dripping. Will this help?
Asked by: drumerdan
Yes it will. I had one on a 2011 Dyna and now one on a 2014 Street Glide. No oil dripping.

I had the Heavy Breather Elite installed on my 2016 Street Glide Special by the dealer when I bought the bike 4 wks. ago

The Filter is a dull grey color and when I asked why it wasn't red from the oil they told me that it was not a K&N Filter, but a Harley Filter that doesn't get oil. How do I tell the difference between a K&N and Harley filter, and is the information the dealer gave me correct?
Asked by: TOM1109
Dull grey is the color they turn when they need to be cleaned and oiled. Did you buy it new?
