Standard Forward Control Kit is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes for a Comfortable Ride I've had this forward control kit for nearly a year now and I really like the position it keeps my feet in while I ride. I do a lot of freeway and country back roads kind of riding, and with my feet kicked up toward the front of the bike it makes for really comfortable riding all day long!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fit and much needed! I installed this Forward control kit on my 883L and they fit like a glove, much needed for my tall frame. My 07 1200C came stock with these controls so i had to have them on our 883. I am teaching my sons how to ride and they are all 6 foot plus so this is a much needed option for this machine. Great quality of course and fit & finish was outstanding..., you get what you pay for!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect fit! Forward controls went on without any problem. Would recommend ordering new shift peg along with kit. Helps to have the right tools. Didn't have to remove exhaust like so many videos show. Thank you H-D! Keep up the good work!

Will it work with an engine guard?

I have an engine guard on my 2011 883 Superlow. Will this kit work with an engine guard installed?
Asked by: mweihs
Hello Mweihs, I believe that will depend on which Engine guard you are running and where it mounts on a 2011 XL883Low. If it is a Mustache Engine Guard I believe you will be OK. The oval shaped # 49287-11 also mounts at the bottom between the frame rails so I do not believe there will be any interference with the forward control kit. It does not appear that there was a fitment done for the 883 Low model and if putting this FWD control kit on an XL1200L model, you also have to buy the footpegs with the feelers on the ends to ensure the rider is aware of their lean angle and when they are getting over to far. They are listed with the catalog copy for this FWD control kit. Thank you!

I would like to relocate mid controls

Hi, I am looking to relocate my mid-controls (i.e. Sportster 1200R) but would like to get something in between Mid and forward controls. Is there any available product ? If not, do I need to purchase the forward control kit and then the reduced reach kit ? I am assuming that this would work. Am I right ? Thx a lot for your help.
Asked by: Djouz
As a vertically challenged person, myself, I feel your pain! To get your controls just where you want them you have to do the forward control kit and then the reduced reach conversion kit. My recommendation is to talk with the part's guys/girls, at your local dealer, to make sure this the best option for you.
