Fan Assisted Oil Cooler Kit is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Money well spent IMHO I don't live in a "hot" location and so haven't noticed heat being a problem without the fan assisted oil cooler but... the peace of mind knowing that my oil is being kept at a thermostatically controlled temperature is very nice. I'm sure this will add to longevity of the oil and bike. The fan is quiet and directs the warmth discretely onto the road. The only way I knew it was even on was to put it on it's stand and feel under the bike for the warm breeze.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Less Hot Anything to cool off an HD is great part. Specifications indicated it could not be installed with oil cooler cover part 25700634. I found both worked well together. I like the look.

Fan Assisted Oil Cooler Kit and the 17V-333 Recall?

Some 2017 Touring Models have recently been recalled for an incorrectly installed clamps that may have been replaced during the Fan Assisted Oil Cooler Kit replacement. Reference Recall 17V-333 Does the installation of this kit negate the need for the Recall?
Asked by: Starwarrior
Yes, they replaced the clamps. I asked my dealer this exact question. They told me I was all set.

Will the new Oil Cover Cooler Kit Part # 25700634 work with this? Should I wait until after break in of a new 2017 before installing this?

Will the new Oil Cover Cooler Kit Part # 25700634 work with this? I also would like to know if I should wait until after I break in my 2017 Road Glide Special to install this or if it is ok to install this before break in?
Asked by: Poppo
Fitment notes are pretty specific. "Does not fit fan assisted oil cooled p/n 62700204." My take is it shouldn't matter when you install it but I do suggest having it installed by HD dealer.

Will they be making these available for the pre 17 Rushmore bikes?

Asked by: Stretchman

What is the temperature that triggers the fan to come on?

My Dealer installed the fan assisted oil cooler kit and said they did enable it with digital tech tool. In 750 miles of use the fan has never come on. Im not sure if its defective or has not reached the required temp.
Asked by: chuckL

Can I install this kit, and then have the dealer finish getting the fan to run when they do my 1000 mile service?

I still have a few hundred miles to ride before my 1000 miles. I was wanting to make run the oil cooler part would still work fine, until I got the fan part set up to work at my dealer...
