Note

It is possible to overload your motorcycle's charging system by adding too many electrical accessories. If your combine electrical accessories operating at any one time consume more electrical current than your vehicle's charging system can produce, the electrical consumption can discharge the battery and cause vehicle electrical system damage. Electrical Connection Upgrade Kit is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product is great for USB charger! I bought this harness to use it for hooking up a switchable USB charger. Super easy to install! It's essentially plug and play. It comes with 3 leads that have crimp connectors with heat shrink. It has a ground, an "always on" 12 volt lead and a "switchable" lead. I hooked up my USB charger to the ground and switchable lead and it works fantastic! Price is awesome as well. I guess this can be used for other accessories as well, but I really wanted to use it for my charger as opposed to wiring it directly to the battery. That way if I leave my phone or something plugged in after I turn my bike off it won't drain the battery. Highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Connections I used this to provide connections for a Boom Audio system. It plugs into the harness under the seat. Much better than hacking into the electrical system. Totally and easily reversible at later date if desired. Installation took only a few minutes.

Do I need to seal the unused connections?

My 2012 Fatboy has the single 6 pin connector that is the diag plug and aux power plug. I plan on using the switched connection on this kit to power my Garmin Zumo. Do I need to seal the unused constant power plug or can the connector remain open?

Where is the 91A connector

The instructions say to locate the digital technician connector under the seat, but I have been unable to locate it there. The only connector I have found the looks like the upgrade kit will plug into is under the left power panel. This is for a 2013 FXDC is this the right connector? pic attached
Asked by: Brian20
Hi Brian20, The Connector 91A is the light gray connector on the far right side of the submitted photo. It is located behind the left hand side cover. Hope this helps!

Where is the 91A connector

I have the electrical connection upgrade kit, but I have been unable to locate the 91A plug under the seat. the only plug I have been able to find that will work is in the left panel with a rubber plug. Is this the right plug? I have a 2013 FXDC. I have included a pic of the plug I am taking about.
