Edge Cut Hand Grips is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good and Bad these grips were one of the first things I put on my 2015 Roadglide. I've since put over 43,000 miles on the bike, I ride it almost everyday and it sits outside at my work. The clutch side grip has faded in the sun giving it a slight purpleish tint ( not real noticeable), the throttle side has stayed black. Other then that my only gripe is that I guess the two rubber "o-rings" on each grip have started to weather or break down and on a long ride they turn my palms black. One of the other reviewers stated that the grips were plastic...they are not plastic, they are machined aluminum and the machine work is good quality (I'm a machinist, I should know). The only plastic is the sleeves inside the grips.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but installation issues on a 2014 Road King I bought these and installed them today. First off I love the look. Thanks to the first reviewer, I was expecting plastic and I bought them anyway in the store. Installing the throttle side was very simple. You definitely want to take a moment and read the direction carefully because I assumed the throttle side had the larger lip, and the opposite turned out to be true. The instructions do not match the 2014 Road King. The 2014 Road King uses a control housing that connects front-to-back, not top-to-bottom. Furthermore, the the left grip, the 2014 Road King has a "gasket" (for lack of a better word) on the left side of the control housing that interferes with the installation of the left grip. I removed the 2-part gasket and got the grip on, but there is a gap now that the gasket originally covered. I figure a little black silicon caulk ought to seal thing up nicely, since you don't want water getting in there if you can help it. As an aside, I had all the needed tools, but I am not very mechanical at all. Even I was able to figure out hot to get these grips installed so I recommend them for even novice mechanics. I love the look and they work great.

Are these grips machined aluminum or plastic?

Really like the looks of these but if they are plastic I'm not going to be as interested in them.
Asked by: Red1320
