Dual Control Thermostat is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from DUAL CONTROL THERMOSTAT This control worked great for me. It seemed the same as the after market control but Harley offer a longer warranty, so I bought the Harley switch. Easy to install.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid / Durable / Must have i use one side for my gloves and one for my jacket. The ability to adjust the temperature is fantastic. In stop and go traffic and getting on the interstate i'm able to turn up the heat as i need it; and then turn it back down when i exit the interstate. Staying warm keeps me safer while riding. In Denver it usually is in the teens when i leave for work in December & January and ride to work. The neighbors wonder about my sanity...but i stay warm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great I've had Harley heated pants liner, gloves, jacket liner, and dual thermostat for three years. I ride year round, so I make good use of it. On my gear the pants and gloves are setup on one circuit, and the jacket liner on the other. I've ridden when the temps are in the teens and still stayed warm. It's nice to able to make adjustments in two "zones". I don't think it would be possible to be comfortable with a single thermostat because I usually turn the gloves and pants up a little higher than the jacket. The only complaint I have is with the belt clip that holds the thermostat. The clip part won't hold it on my belt, so I ended up attaching it to a carabiner and putting it on my jacket.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product, but room for improvement I purchased this item about four years ago and have not regretted it at all! I love the ability to adjust the temp on my two heated garments. I use a heated vest and gloves during the winter months when riding. Being able to crank the heat on my gloves while dialing back on the vest really makes a big difference when riding. Yes, the vest can get too hot when it is plugged straight into the bike, this thermostat fixes that issue. My only complain and its a minor one, are the knobs. I would like to have the knobs in different shapes. It would be nice to have one that is a triangle or square shaped and the other round. This would make it easier to determine which item you're adjusting. Right now I try to remember which item is plugged into a particular wire, but I don't always get them matched up. Otherwise this is a must have if you're running more than one heated item.

What is the maximum current (Amps) rating for this thermostat?

I cannot find anything in the instructions that says how many Amps this thermostat can handle. On the HD site it only says to "add up" the Amps used by a jacket, vest, etc but never specifies a maximum limit.

will this work with Gerbing heated gear

Will Harley electrical handle two complete sets of warming gear? I'm riding 2015 Street glide special

I currently have for myself pants jacket liner gloves, and socks running on a dual control. Gives me another 5 to 8,000 miles per season. I would like to do the same for the wife, but not sure electrical system will handle this load
Asked by: Chuck3227
Yes, the system will handle the extra load. I ride with my wife and between us we have; my jacket, her vest, and 2 sets of gloves all being heated. The thing to keep in mind is the combined load you'll be putting on your electrical system. You need to make sure your fuses are correct to handle the additional load.

I purchased this thermostat a year ago, and in that time, the metal clip on the outside case has separated from the material. Is there a replacement case part number?
Asked by: Capnbob82
Hello Capnbob82, Unfortunately, we do not have the case available separately for sale. Thank You!

Are the connecting plugs on this control universal or do they only work on Harley clothing? I have Gerbing gloves that i would like to use this with.
Asked by: Smsgtdaves
I sent an email to Gerbing and their answer was the HD controller and the Gerbing are exactly the same.
