Why won't this fit xl883n? Is there a rack that will?

Will this fit with the two-up Sportster Classic seat?

The seat looks like the badlander seat. Do u have measures of this rack? If there was measures I could calculate myself. Will this fit with the two-up Sportster Classic seat?
Asked by: Matthe
Hi Matthe, No, this H-D Detachables Solo Tour-Pak Mounting Rack will not fit the two-up Sportster Classic seat. It fits specific '04-later XL models equipped with a solo seat. Thank you for your question.

2015 Sportster equipped with docking hardware (53544-04), rigid sideplates (53925-04), could a Solo Tour-Pak Rack (without a Tour-Pak) fit?

Looking to use the Tour-Pak Rack as a base underneath a backpack that is secured in front of the sissybar.
Asked by: jzink0883
Hey jzink0883, This won't work for you because it's designed for a solo seat, which wouldn't have a sissy bar. In this case, a luggage rack is what you need to secure a backpack.

Does the bracket sit high enough to fit over my Badlander seat?

Asked by: Chad34
Hey Chad34! The badlander sits approximately 6.1". If the Solo Tour-Pak Rack is added, this will add another 7". Theoretically, the tour pack should sit well over your badlander.

Why does this fit the 2006 883C with solo seat, and not the 2006 1200C with solo seat?

Asked by: Jmoroni78
Hi Jmoroni78, When installed on the XL 1200C, it will make the Tour-Pak sit too far forward. This might interfere with the seat and/or your seating position when you're actually riding.
