Curved License Plate Frame with LED Lighting is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Space is getting tight under the seat, technical documents lacking... Nice upgrade from stock that adds some extra illumination to the back. Easy to install with a little patience and dexterity. Situation is that I have also picked up the hard pack LED lights. Both of these addons need to use the rear lighting connector under the seat for signalling and power. I ended up daisy chaining the different connects through the rear lighting connector. LEDs don't draw much current, so I guess I'll find out if it is a long-term problem or not. At first, the license plate lights would not come on whereas the hard pack LEDs and rear LED bullets worked just fine. There is a white button on the license plug where it connects to the Y-adapter (that is used to connect through the rear lighting connector). No description of what this button is or how it is used is given in the instructions. After several attempts in ACC and ON, and holding that button in for various lengths of time, I finally got the licence plate LEDs to come on and stay on. We'll see how long that lasts. For now, I like the color, I like the extra lights, I like the construction, I like the look. I am still out on how HD is running so many of the accessory light packages through the same connector and just what some of the electrical hardware actually does.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks good and easy to install Nice upgrade from the stock license plate mount. Easy to install, took about 30 minutes. Looks great and adds some visibility with the extra running and brake lights.

Is this a additional brake/running?

Is this set up an additional brake/running light to the stock brake/running turn signal lamp or does it eliminate the stock brake/running light?
Asked by: G0H0
Hi G0H0, The Curved License Plate Frame w/ LED is a replacement for the OE black license plate bracket. It is not an additional brake/running light nor is it eliminating. Hope this helps!

Wire connector plug in

Which plug in does the wire connector use, and where is it located?
Asked by: John1727
Hi John1727, 2010-2013 models: Plug the Curved License Plate Frame harness connector into the capped four-way Deutsch P&A Accessory connector [4]. This connector is located under the seat, in front of the Electronic Control Module (ECM). If the P&A Accessory connector is already in use, a dual accessory harness (Part No. 70264-94) is available from a Harley-Davidson dealer. 2014-later models: Get the license plate lamp Y-harness (11) from the kit. a. See Figure 4. Separate the black six-way Molex rear lighting connector [7] on top of the Electronic Control Module (ECM) caddy. b. Plug the Y-harness into open connectors [7A] and [7B]. c. Plug the Curved License Plate Frame connector into the Y-harness.
