Combo Analog Speedometer/Tachometer MPH/km is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Tachometer for a Road King My old motorcycle, a Super Glide Sport (FXDX), came with a tachometer so I got used to riding with one. When I sold the FXDX and bought a 2007 FLHR Road King I missed having a tachometer. I looked into adding a separate tachometer and it was going to cost about $350 to do this. Then I saw the speedometer/tachometer for $314 and it was easy to buy and install. I bought it for the purpose of having a tachometer and was happy to add a gear indicator, digital fuel gauge and a clock. Installation was really easy. I would recommend this speedometer/tachometer to anyone who is considering one for their motorcycle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big improvement over the stock speedo Easy to install, just follow the directions. Once installed, I found two immediate advantages of this unit. First, the fuel gauge is really easy to read while riding. The tank mounted gauge requires you to lean forward and to the left to remove parallax from the view. Second, the gear indicator solved a bad habit of downshifting too low too soon. The RPM confirms I am not over-reving the engine, ever (wasn't ever sure). About the only other indicator they could add to this gauge are turn signal indicators, but not a big deal.

Asked by: pmaresh

can the data transfer cable be ordered seperately?

I have a new take off replacement speedometer and just need the data cable to transfer the mileage. 2006 fatboy efi. replacement speedometer is from a 2005 speedometer efi.
Asked by: pat06
Hey pat06, The data can only be transferred one time, so taking it from the '05 and installing it on the '06 you will not be able to update the mileage. Thanks! Rockstar883

Does speedometer have all of the indicator lights that the OEM unit has?

Such as the red security light that flashes when security is set? And an Engine light that indicates when the fuel pump is pressurizing before starting the engine, as well as, indicating engine malfunctions such as O2 sensor failures? Does the OEM button on the side of the console still step through the Trip A and B functions etc?

How do i return the display of the gear number on the screen?

My Speedo does not show the gear number on the screen anymore? How can i return this display back on the speedo? any setting change? thanks
Asked by: mozzzauh12
Hi Mozzauh12, To have the Gear Indicator Display follow these instructions: 1)Press and hold the trip reset button. Turn ignition switch to ACC. Then release the trip reset button. The gauge displays "SETUP" and shows the gear indicator display. 2)Press the trip reset button to toggle through different displays until the gear indicator function is selected. The gauge displays SETUP and shows the full range of gear numbers ("1" through "5" or "6"). 3)Turn ignition switch OFF. Turn the switch back to ACCY to toggle the gear indicator display from ON to OFF. 4)Press the trip reset button to toggle to the next display control or turn the ignition switch to OFF or IGN to return to normal operation and save the setting. Hope this helps!
