Boom! Audio Shorty AM/FM Antenna is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 24.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Performs like the full size whip I read a lot of reviews of the hidden antenna and just didn't trust it. This works as well as the full size antenna and looks much better.

is the antenna short enough to use with the detachable tour pack

2016 Road Glide Special
Asked by: oneup
You may need to relocate your antenna in order to accommodate the tour pack. Consider getting the hidden antenna which tucks under the fender.

will this replace the stock antenna on a street glide?

looking for a shorter antenna for a street glide to use when a tour pak is mounted without it hitting the tour pak, will this fit the bill ?
Asked by: kw831
I don't believe it will because it will still extend high enough to reach the bottom of a tour-pak. However, it might fit if your tour-pak is mounted on a solo tour-pak mount - far enough forward so the tour-pak is just behind the rider. Check part number 53000225. Your HD dealer should be able to tell you if that would work with a tail-mounted shorty antenna. Another option might be to try the faring-mounted (hidden) antenna. That eliminates the need for an external antenna altogether, giving you the flexibility to mount and remove a tour-pak at will, without having to worry about wiring an antenna to the tour-pak itself. Check part number 76000266. Hope this helps.

Will this work with a 2005 Ultra Classic?

The online info that lists accessories for a 2005 Ultra says the shorty CB antenna works with it, but it doesn't list the shorty AM/FM. Do both of them work with the 2005?
Asked by: Brian777
Hi Brian777, Yes, this Boom! Audio Shorty AM/FM Antenna is compatible with a 2005 FLHTCU. It fits '98-later Touring and Trike models equipped with radio. Thank you for your question.

Facing the rear of the bike, which antenna is the CB antenna. It is not stamped as CB according to instruction in the BOOM packages.

Asked by: cdanddg
Your antenna does have a small marking near the base threads. The CD antenna is on the left side, the transmission shift side. One tip, when you install the new shorty antenna the instructions state that you should use a small amount of Loctite. I used number 243, keeps the antenna from falling off due to vibration while allowing you to remove the antenna if needed.

Have a 2014 Ultra and the anntenna is in the bat wing farring. Does this reduce the reception? Would going back to a whip anntenna increase reception
