Boom! Audio Amplifier is rated 2.2 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works fine. The stage 2 kit output is very clear. The dealership installed the kit. The extreme bass of some alternative music is lacking without a 10"+ sub woofer. Excellent system for rock.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No Problems Dealer installed four stage two speakers and two stage two amps. I have yet to upgrade my charging system. Plays loud and clear for the last year and a half. Most people are thrown back by the noise it puts out. Sounds great at 90mph. Most radio sounds better than mp3 files. Integrates seamlessly with Nav/Phone/CB. Blasted through 7000 mile trip from Dallas to Maine and back. Sits outside 100% of the time. All systems work excellently!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very expensive downgrade Was always happy with stock Boom audio stereo on my 15 street glide special, but wanted more, had dealer install stage II speakers and Amp, sounds good with motor off at a quarter volume, but now at highway speeds can hardly hear at full volume, and doesn't sound anywhere as good as stock at full volume, haven't gone back to dealer yet, but am and hopefully they can get it working like it should,

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DO NOT BUY!!! Do not purchase the Boom audio system for 2014-2016. I had this installed and the radio flashed on my 2016 street glide. I wanted clean, clear sound so i went with the stage 2 system. The dealer i purchased it from had no idea it had this many problems! the volume goes crazy up and down and starts to pulsate. after the 3rd attempted to having it re-flashed and nothing fixed it we called harley to see what or if anyone else has had this issue. Come to find out it has been a problem for the last couple of years and there working on it!!! HA HA HA. you would think they would pull them off the shelf until it is fixed completely. Long story short i spent $1k dollars on 2 speakers and a amp that doesn't play right! I hope Harley does the right thing.

Do I need to buy this for my 2016 CVO Limited?

I would like to upgrade the speakers and therefore I want to know if I need to add this amplifier. As far as I know the bike should already come with at least one.
Asked by: enriavil
Hi Enriavil, If you are planning to upgrade the speakers on your 2016 CVO Limited--a new Boom! Audio Amplifier is suggested. Yes, there is a built in amplifier on your bike; however, it may not give you the quality expected from your new speakers. A new amplifier will provide you with less distortion and optimal sound. Hope this helps!
