Left and right turn signal caps
Turn Signal Extension Caps is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy feel These extentions made my rides a lot safer. I have found myself before I installed these myself hitting the system section switches instead of the factory turn signal switchs. I found myself having to take my eyes off the road just to make turns and some of those turns were close calls. The turn signal extentions made this so much safer and comfortable for my big hands. Now my eyes can stay on the road and my hands on the grips. This accessory should be a standard on all Harleys.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Must needed feature but hard to install. I'm not sure why these turn-signal caps are not installed at the factory since they make reaching the buttons much easier. The caps themselves are great and are OEM quality. I now do not have to reposition my hands just to activate the turn-signals. The reason for the 3 star review is do to the difficulty of installing them. The instructions are very vague so it will help if you have a service manual for your bike. You should not attempt to install these yourself if you are not mechanically inclined or an amatuer mechanic. You will have to fully disassemble your controls in order to install them. Even then everything is still in a hard to reach tight space. That is the only way you can get the old cap out and the new cap in. Once everything is disassembled and you are ready to install the new cap you probably will have to make several attempts to get the spring to seat correctly. Overall they were a huge pain to install, but now that I have them, I'm glad I did.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great but good luck installing right side I, too, often had to reposition my hand to reach stock switches. The left went on quickly leaving me overconfident about the right. Instructions say to install the caps then reinstall in switch housing. On the right, the switch could not be reinstalled in housing with cap on. I had to put the cap in its opening and snap on the cap while reinstalling the switch - a tricky operation that left me wondering how I did it and releaved when I did. Trying to reinstall with cap on I broke the switch from the little spring loaded metal bracket requiring an epoxy fix. Next the same bracket managed to get jammed against a wire on the brake light switch and short out the speedo and rear lights. After some bending and repositioning got it back together and works great!

WIll these fit a fatbob 2012

I would like to install these on a 2012 fatbob, I see they are not on the list of bikes. Could these be used on my bike?
Asked by: sdfatbob
Hey sdfatbob, This particular set will not work on your 12' FXDF. Luckily for you, we do make the exact same product for the 12' and up Dyna's. The part number you need is 71500177 (black) or 71500178 (chrome).

Do I need to install these with opening the switch housing or do the install from the outside instead?

Asked by: Terry
