Chrome Came Off
I purchased this Billet Front Engine Mount Bracket from the Harley Davidson online store and had it installed. The piece looked great. It has been on my Street Glide for approx 13/14 months. I went to wash my bike this weekend and noticed all the chrome has come off the face of the engine mount. I only wash the bike with Harley products and when I called customer service to tell them about the issue they told me my warranty on the part is only 12 months and there was nothing they can do.

CHROME CAME OFF
I purchased this piece from the Harley online store approx 13 months ago. I have put approx 2k miles on the the bike with this Billet Engine mount installed. I went to wash my bike this weekend and I noticed all the chrome has come off the face of this $130.00 engine mount and it is beginning to rust. I called the online store and they told me that my warranty for the piece is over and blamed it on the salt air because I live within 5 miles of the beach. (the rest of the chrome on my bike is fine by the way). It was a bad piece and even worse Harley won't do anything about it. Oh well. Buyer Beware!

More Chrome is Always Better!
The chrome covered billet engine mount bracket simply adds a bit more chrome elegance to your bike, and it replaces the stock bracket, which is pretty basic in its construction. To complete the set it is recommended to also buy the Front Engine Mount Stabilizer Link (16213-10); it is $50 at the time of this review.
As the attached picture shows, it mounts between the front cylinder head and the frame. With the right tools and a towel-covered 2X4 I was able to change out the old for the new, but it does require assistance as you manipulate the engine to align the brackets and bolts. It wasn't insanely difficult, but it did take a bit of pre-planning and a few attempts to get things aligned.
The pieces themselves are a bit out of the way, but for me, it is those little enhancements that can set your bike apart from the rest. At a recent rally, a guy with the same year Street Glide as mine was looking at my upgrades and he noticed the chrome brackets right away and said he would have to add them too because they look so much better than the stock offering.
I hope the picture helps if you are curious about how the bracket looks on the bike. Sorry that I could not get a good photo of the Stabilizer Link.
