Rated 3 out of 5 by from Its great for what it is, but... The pictures are a bit deceiving- there is no back pad that comes with this. Not a big deal, just thought I was getting more for my money and it would have been good to have known that I would have need to purchase the back pad. Lastly, it also would have been good to know that you will need to get the tail light relocate kit for the Slim; the quick disconnects are about a 1/4 of an inch too long and hit up against the stock tail lights. Again, not a big deal, just would have liked to have known that as I did my parts online. An update on the site would be very helpful. So those 2 things aside, this is a 5 start item, I am just deducting points for failing to mention these 2 things.

Can i swap?

I now have the shorter sissy bar # 52828-11. Is this a direct swap? Also is there a emblem or badge that bolts to the pad mounting cross bar as this will now be more exposed and looks unfinished. Thanks in advance!

Turning signals need to be relocated to mount this on Softail Slim?

I am not sure from the information available on the website if the turning signals need to be relocated to mount this on a Softail Slim. If so, it is of a great inconvenience. Is there any alternative or future product that serves as detachable sissy bar for the Slim with no need for further modifications?
Asked by: SlimPaul
If you have the Softail Slim S, you do need to relocate your tail lights for this setup. The lights are so close to the back bolt that the detachable feature on this is too wide (too close to the tail lights). So you have to either get a different bracket for your sissy bar (not many out there), or relocate your tail lights. Just look at how close your tail lights are to that back bolt and you'll see the clearance. Hopefully they come up with better options than just this.

60's look

on page 215 2013 catalog "ALL IN ONE for old school looks. The tall slim bar and the upper kick angle. No part number? price and page The ones on page 222 are not the same as the one shown on 215. I want the one on 215???
Asked by: BigEd
Hey BigEd. The sissy bar upright shown on page 215 of the Parts & Accessories catalog is 51146-10 and it fits '04-later Sportster models. Looks like you ride a Slim, so unfortunately it won't fit your bike. The one-piece sissy bar upright that will fit Slim is 52828-11 or 52760-11.
