Riding Academy


Riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle is a dream. And, we will ensure that training is both fun, wherever possible entertaining, but, always informative and educational.


How much does it cost?

H-D®  Riding Academy is free for all. Interested participants need to register or contact your nearest Harley-Davidson dealership.

Entry is first come first serve.




What will I need to register?

You'll need a valid automobile driver's license, and have the ability to ride a motorcycle.


Do I need any special gear?

You'll need to bring the following:

  • Your Driver's License 
  • Long-sleeve riding jacket (mesh, leather, textile or denim) 
  • Long pants (heavy denim or riding pants recommended)
  • Over-the-ankle boots (sturdy, not canvas, low heel)
  • Eye protection (helmet visor, eye glasses, sun glasses, goggles acceptable)
  • Full-finger gloves (motorcycle specific recommended)
  • Full-faced helmet

What bike will I ride?

For the riding portion, the H-D® dealer will provide you with a Harley-Davidson® motorcycle suited for the course.

How long is the course or program?

The course duration is 4 hours


I already know how to ride; can I just attend to check?

Yes. We recommend that all riders take the Harley-Davidson Riding Academy Class to learn the rules of the road

What if I need to reschedule?

Contact your dealer as soon as possible to get rescheduled into another class. Depending on the schedule, we will keep you posted on future classes in your city.

Will I be experiencing an actual Harley-Davidson® motorcycle?

Yes! The bike you try is a 100% street-ready Harley-Davidson® motorcycle.
