Loaded with innovative technologies and materials, the premium layering system built into every aspect of the FXRG range of motorcycle clothing delivers customisable comfort and versatility in any riding environment.
The FXRG customisable layering system, which debuted in 1997, is designed to keep the rider’s core body temperature consistent in all weather conditions. The launch of the 2019 range takes the concept to the next level, with the latest technology enhancing the performance of the motorbike gear and increasing rider comfort.
Layer by layer
The unique FXRG system starts with the base layer next to the skin, which helps regulate body temperature and manage moisture, so you stay warm in cool weather and stay cool in warm weather.
Adding a mid-layer gives insulation against the cold by trapping air close to the body, while the outer layer protects against the elements.
FXRG riding accessories such as helmets and gloves complete the head-to-toe protection from the environment and road debris. Together, the elements of the FXRG Riding System are designed to integrate to keep the rider comfortable and confident in any environment.
“Each concept of FXRG begins with Harley-Davidson product managers and designers – all of them riders – brainstorming the unique needs of Harley® riders across the whole range of riding styles and environments, from urban to touring and from cold, dry weather to hot and humid – and everything in between,” says product manager Amy Hohensee.
“This allows our riders a way to enhance, not distract from, their ride because they are going to ride no matter what comes their way – on their terms, not Mother Nature’s terms. Our goal is simple – to help H-D® riders, whatever the weather, to ride longer.”
