Rolling Stone Immerses In The H-D Brand


Last night we launched a partnership with Rolling Stone that includes 10 editorial focused videos which will run on through September. All of the videos are created under the headline “American Beauty: Dispatches from a Country United.” The video segments will tap into the positive energy of the American spirit and inspire the independence of today’s urban youth culture.


The first video, which aired last night, features Ahmed Fakhr (Photo Director for Rolling Stone) riding a new 2017 Street Rod™ as he immerses himself into the unique surf culture that is Rockaway Beach, NY. The video captures the lifestyle, passions and ultimately the bond between the surfers from New York City that surf this beach year round, regardless of the temperature of the water.  Watch the video (6:25).


Our second video will take place in Virginia Beach, VA at the Naval Air Station. Our correspondent will visit this incredible air station to explore the base and examine what American military culture looks like today, from the seat of a 2017 Roadster™. This video will be shot the week of May 8 and will go live in late May.


Throughout the summer and into fall, Rolling Stone correspondents will continue to visit select urban markets, on Harley-Davidson Street® and Sportster® motorcycles, unlocking the stories behind the unique cultures that exist within them. These cities include: East Wildwood, NJ, Nashville, TN, Miami, FL, Austin, TX, Tucson, AZ, Los Angeles, CA, Portland, OR and Seattle, WA. 




In addition to the editorial videos, we will be working with Rolling Stone to create Harley-Davidson branded stories. The headline for this content is “The Ride, Unfiltered” and will showcase the experience of a woman as she goes through the journey of learning to ride for the first time all the way to becoming a passionate Harley-Davidson enthusiast. We will chronical her journey as she learns to ride, gets immersed into the Harley-Davidson brand at the Summer X-Games and other amazing Harley-Davidson experiences. Not only will we be creating content around this journey with Rolling Stone, but our influencer will also be sharing her thoughts and experiences through her social channels to broaden the reach with the next generation of riders.


“The Ride Unfiltered” content will launch in June and continue through the end of August.
