Battle Of The Kings Rages On In Emea

The 2017 Battle of the Kings competition was bound to be extraordinary with more than 220 dealers throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) competing for top honors.

The largest dealer-based custom build-off had simple entry rules:

· Base model must be a Harley-Davidson® Dark Custom Sportster®, with the choice of three models, the Iron 883, Forty-Eight® or Roadster.

· Customization budget should be within a maximum of 6,000 Euros.

· Half of the custom parts must be drawn from the official Harley-Davidson range of more than 10,000 custom parts and accessories.

The response from those who entered was simply stunning, making the task of judging a shortlist and eventual country winner for each region exceptionally difficult.

From the sleek custom carbon fairing and slick rear tire of France’s Harley-Davidson La Rochelle’s “Lakestar” speed machine, through to the outrageous artisan exhaust of the “Metal Snake” from Portugal’s Harley-Davidson Lisboa, the breadth and depth of entries truly represented the skills and passion of the Custom Kings found in every Harley-Davidson dealership.

The fact that stunning machines, such as the contemporary “Fat Bike” from Austria’s Harley-Davidson Linz, and the sleek retro silver lines of Germany’s Harley-Davidson Pfeiffer’s “Speedster,” are available from our dealerships, truly underlines our custom authenticity and leadership.

The competition garnered over 80,000 online votes, with significant numbers of existing and new to brand customers registering their interest in Harley-Davidson customization for follow-up contact.

The final phase of the competition will be the Battle of the Kings Grand Final, to be held at EICMA, Milan in November 2017, where the overall winner will be announced.
