A great catch
My 2018 Breakout® during a ride through Prince Edward Island in August 2019.
Prince Edward Island
My wife, Joanna, is amazing! I give her all the credit as a passenger for navigating and being able to go the distance, riding to see the uniqueness of Canada. On our most recent trip, to the Northwest Territories, we travelled through all the weather, including apocalyptic forest fire settings. We were fortunate enough to see all kinds of wildlife along the way, including the wood bison.
This photo was taken on July 27, just as we arrived at Sturgis. I pulled the bike up in front of the Sturgis sign and a news cruiser pulled up at the same time. The fellow asked why we were arriving early. I gave him my reasons, and he asked if I would say that on TV. I thought he was joking, so I said "Sure" – then he started taking out his camera and tripod.

Back seat driver
I wanted to share this picture with fellow Harley® riders. I found it a little amusing, and I turned a lot of heads on the highway. I don’t know if it was because of the boat motor or the fact it was a Honda strapped on the back of a Harley. Kind of funny that a Honda not only takes a backseat to my Harley but it takes the back rack.
Summer time livin’
Enjoying a cool breeze on a very hot August day.

My grandson’s first ride around the yard on my '08 Heritage Softail™. It took two days to wipe the smile off his face.
Then and now
Flashback to 1990, at Sturgis on a bike that, well, wasn’t the bike I really wanted. Fast-forward to November 2014, in my local Harley-Davidson® dealership ordering my first Harley®, picking it up around the end of July. Every year is a two-week holiday, and here's my bike on the way down on the Beartooth Highway.
Life’s simple pleasures
Pierre and I continue to discover the passions of the bike and riding. On my first good bike ride, we did New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. What a great experience to smell the wind and feel freedom on the bike, alone with your man.
Having taken possession of my very first new Harley-Davidson® at the end of the season last fall, I had to wait all winter before I could enjoy it. When the weather came, my partner and I decided to go on a road trip in the Maritimes. Here I am on the beautiful Cabot Trail on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia: 300 kilometres of curves, breathtaking scenery and fun riding my brand new Softail Slim®!
Quebec City, Quebec
This photo of me doing a U-turn was taken at a bike rally in beautiful Digby, Nova Scotia. I am riding a 2008 1200 Sportster® Low. Such a great day!
I’ve been riding motorcycles since I was 17 years old. I now own a 2016 Road Glide® Special and love the way my dream machine handles with the ridged fairing and vents. My first long haul was to the rally in Saint-Jérôme, Quebec. I met up with some fellow riders from Nova Scotia for the wonderful rally they put on. I had a chance to ride and show them where I lived for five years in the area of the Laurentians in Lac Saint-Denis near Morin-Heights.
This picture was taken up on the mountain where there used to be a Canadian Forces radar station that my dad worked at, which brought back a lot of memories. There will be many more adventures to come. Thank you H-D® and HOG® Central Chapter Nova Scotia for the chance to fulfill my dreams.
