'Back to Biking' is particularly suited for anyone who is returning to motorcycling after a break. You will learn everything needed to ensure you are safe on the road and enable you to enjoy your motorcycling to the full. The 'Back to Biking' course is structured to help riders gain confidence and introduce them to the many new aspects of motorcycle riding. Graduates will leave with riding skills that are up to the current test pass standards and in most cases, well beyond.

The Enhanced Rider Scheme allows riders to experience the fun of motorcycling to the full whilst developing the necessary skills... Rider's Edge® instructors will assess students on arrival and implement a structured training programme to ensure that the rider develops his or her riding skills accordingly. The initial skills assessment will take place in the safe learning environment of the private road network before going out onto the superb riding roads which surround the Rider's Edge Academy. Depending on the rider's skill levels, the following techniques should be covered:

On an Advanced course, the following techniques should be taken to the highest level:

As with all Rider's Edge courses, the Advanced course is built on a bedrock of safety, emphasizing techniques, such as smooth use of bike controls, and the highest levels of observation, anticipation, and planning.
At the end of the Advanced course, riders have the opportunity to take an assessed ride. Students are assessed and graded using an objective and open marking system, with the instructor providing detailed feedback following the assessment.
Riders who achieve the Gold standard should regard themselves as being amongst some of the best road riders in the country. Silver and Bronze standards are not far behind. Only those who reach the required standard will leave with a Bronze award or higher. Award winners can gain insurance discounts of up to 20% with Harley-Davidson insurance.

Experienced Rider Course - £199
"A Day with Harley-Davidson" is the best way to make your dreams of riding the range of legendary Harley-Davidson motorcycles come true. At the start of the day you will select the bikes you wish to ride from the current model range. After a short informal safety briefing, you will be equipped with the finest Harley-Davidson motor clothes, ready for the action to begin.
Initially, you will ride on the private road network to ensure that you are fully accustomed to the bikes before heading out onto the open road. The roads surrounding the Rider's Edge Academy are some of the best roads to be found in the UK for riding motorcycles. On your way you may encounter the spectacular scenery of the Elan Valley, cross the mighty Brecon Beacons or cruise along the coastal road enjoying the British 'Highway One'.
At different points during the day, you will have the opportunity to exchange bikes amongst the group so that you really do get to enjoy a wide range of Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
"A Day with Harley-Davidson" begins at 10 am and concludes at 4:30 pm. Coffee and lunch are provided. As with all Rider's Edge packages, motorcycles, safety equipment, fuel and road risk insurance is included (accommodation is excluded). Participants only need to ensure they bring suitable footwear for riding.
