Harley-Davidson Museum® Shop Class Weekend Workshops
March 30 - April 1
April 20 - 22

This weekend experience includes four Shop Classes:
· Model Identification & Vehicle Systems
· Drive Operations
· Transmissions Wheels, Tires & Brakes
· Electrical Systems

All classes are taught by instructors from Harley-Davidson University, Harley-Davidson’s official school for dealership mechanics. The package also includes accommodations in downtown Milwaukee, breakfast, transportation to/from the Harley-Davidson Museum, a dinner at the Motor® Bar & Restaurant, and a special Back Roads Tour of the Museum’s
private archives.

The Steel Toe Tour

The Steel Toe Tour

THE WHAT:
The Steel Toe Tour gives you a chance to learn Harley-Davidson® history and get up-close and personal with V-Twin engine manufacturing.

Harley-Davidson Motor Company's 849,000 square-foot Pilgrim Road Powertrain Operations facility in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin is home of the “Big Twin.”

Pilgrim Road employees produce engines and transmissions for the final assembly plants in York, Pennsylvania and Kansas City, Missouri for Touring, Softail® and Dyna® model families. Engines and transmissions are also produced for sale through Harley-Davidson® Genuine Motor Parts and Accessories business.

The Steel Toe Tour package includes one ticket to the Harley-Davidson Museum® where you'll get a glimpse of history and culture like you've never seen it before – including the must-see Engine Room. A shuttle will take you from the Museum to the Pilgrim Road Powertrain Operations facility, where you'll get an up-close-and-personal view of the assembly line, powder coat process, cold testing and steel and aluminum machining.

This tour is not for the faint of heart – at Pilgrim Road, safety goggles and steel toe shoes are required!

Tour Schedule:
Two sessions are offered on Wednesdays and Fridays, 9:00 AM and 12:15 PM. Duration for each tour time is three hours. Tours depart from the Harley-Davidson Museum, located on 6th and Canal Streets in downtown Milwaukee. Upon returning to the Harley-Davidson Museum, enjoy a self-guided tour of the Museum.

Cost:
Harley-Davidson Museum Member: $32.00
Non-Member: $38.00
Groups of 15 or more: $35.00 per person

Capacity: 20 guests per session

Age: Guests must be 12 years of age or older

Have you ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes at the Harley-Davidson Museum? What are some of the artifacts, vehicles, and stories still in boxes back in the storage areas? Come and find out on a special guided tour that offers in-depth explanations of selected Museum exhibits and provides a glimpse into the private areas of the Harley-Davidson Archives.

THE WHERE, WHEN & HOW:

Wednesdays and Fridays at 10:30AM and 1PM (subject to change)
$20 per person (in addition to Museum admission)

Boy Scout Engineering Merit Badge

THE WHAT:
Learning about engineering has never been so fun! The Harley-Davidson Museum and Boy Scouts of America partnered to create a program where kids can earn a Boy Scout Engineering Merit Badge through a variety of activities completed at home and at the Museum. Due to the temporary use of the Design Lab for the Watercolors by Willie G. exhibit, the Harley-Davidson Museum will be unable to provide Boy Scout Engineering Merit Badge activities from December, 2011 through
April, 2012.
