In-person Purchase at the Museum |
If you wish to purchase a Membership on-site at the Museum, you can do so at any of the main ticket admission sales desks in the main lobby of the Museum. There is also a special Membership desk, which is represented by the two ticket sales terminals located along the curved portion of the main ticket counter. If you purchase your membership at the front ticket counter, you will receive your membership card(s) and fulfillment package on-site immediately after you purchase it (or in times of high-volume, it may need to be made available to you after you visit the Museum exhibits). |

Online Membership Purchase |
If you wish to purchase a Membership online, you can do so through the web site, www.h-dmuseum.com/membership. The process is several simple steps:
- Select the level of membership you wish to purchase (Serial #1 or Wrecking Crew, for example) and the quantity of memberships you wish to purchase at that level
- Enter your member information so we can generate membership card(s) for your level of membership (please note Open Road (online) members will not receive a card, but rather a one-time-entry ticket to be used at the Museum)
- Enter your billing and shipping information (only one shipping address can be used per transaction, which may require you to complete additional transactions if you are purchasing a membership as a gift and would like the fulfillment package to be sent directly to your gift recipient).
After selecting the number of memberships you wish to purchase, you will be prompted to enter your Membership information. This is accomplished by clicking on the link “Click Here to Enter Required Member Information” listed under the item displayed in your checkout cart.
NOTE: If you are purchasing a dual/couple (“Two-up”), family (“Wrecking Crew”) or premier (“Hill Climber”) level membership, you will be required to add an additional person to the order to ensure two membership cards are printed for use with the membership. This is accomplished by adding your second member’s FULL name to the Member Information page in the field labeled “Second Member Name.” If you do not have a partner or spouse you wish to add, you can add an adult family member or friend, but please note that only one mailing address can be listed under the membership, so all mail and email will still route to the primary card holder.
After you have entered your member account information, you will be able to proceed through the checkout process by clicking on the checkout button.
After purchasing your membership online, you will receive a confirmation email with a welcome letter from the Museum Director, sent to you as an attached PDF file. The welcome letter will contain your membership visual ID number, unique to your membership. The last nine (9) digits of this visual ID number is your new member number, which you can utilize to gain immediate access to the Members-only web site, located by accessing www.h-dmuseum.com/membership. |

Purchasing a Gift Membership |
If you wish to purchase a Membership for someone as a gift, you can do so on-site at the Museum, or online through the special web site, www.h-dmuseum.com/membership.
In venue at the Museum, you can purchase a membership as a gift, at the membership level you choose to give, and a voucher for that level will be printed and provided to you to give as a gift. The recipient of your voucher will then come in to the Museum with the voucher and redeem it to activate their membership, and they will receive their membership card(s) and fulfillment package on-site immediately after voucher redemption (or in times of high-volume, it may be made available after visiting the Museum exhibits). If you are purchasing a membership for someone who is not able to come into the Museum to redeem their voucher, you should plan to purchase their membership through the online web store, or you can contact the membership office at membership@h-dmuseum.com, or by calling 877-HD MUSEUM (1-877-436-8738), (members outside the U.S. should call 414-287-2700), and someone in membership will be able to help you.
If you purchase a gift membership online, you will enter the gift recipient’s information in the “Click Here to Enter Required Member Information” link, and then fill in your billing information and either your shipping address (if you’d like the fulfillment package to come to you so you can give it to them) or the member’s shipping information (if you’d prefer the fulfillment package go right to them).
If you are purchasing more than one membership (i.e. one for yourself and one for someone as a gift), you may need two separate transactions, as only one shipping address can be entered into the transaction.
NOTE: If you are purchasing a dual/couple (“Two-up”), family (“Wrecking Crew”) or premier (“Hill Climber”) level membership for someone, you will be required to add an additional person to the order to ensure two membership cards are printed for use with the membership. This is accomplished by adding a second member’s FULL name to the Member Information page in the field labeled “Second Member Name.” If your gift recipient does not have a partner or spouse to add, you can add an adult family member or friend, but please note that only one mailing address can be listed under the membership, so all mail and email will route to the addresses for the primary card holder.
After purchasing your membership online, you will receive a confirmation email with a welcome letter from the Museum Director, sent to you as an attached PDF file. The welcome letter will contain the membership visual ID number, unique to the membership. The last nine (9) digits of this visual ID number is the new member number.

What is “Fast-Lane” admission for members at Harley-Davidson Museum? |
Harley-Davidson is pleased to offer its Members Fast-Lane admission: as opposed to waiting in the standard ticketing line to get an admission ticket, or even stopping at the Membership desk to obtain an admission ticket, Members can use their membership card to gain entrance at the Museum exhibit entrance, bypassing the ticketing lines all together. Members must have their membership card to take advantage of this benefit (the card is scanned to verify the membership is valid) and they must be able to present a photo ID, but with their membership card, members can walk into the Museum and head straight for the exhibit entrance area, present their membership card to the entry-point Visitor Associate who will scan their card (and may check their ID), and walk into the exhibit area.
Members will be permitted access to all permanent exhibits at the Harley-Davidson Museum during regular business hours. Members will not have access to the Museum during periods of time when the Museum is closed to the general public. And during very limited circumstances when the Museum is exceptionally busy, Members may experience delays in entry. |

How will I know when my membership expires? |
Your membership expires one year after you purchase it, at the end of the month in which you purchased it. So if you buy your membership on August 1st, 2008, your membership would expire on August 31st, 2009. The exception to this is for all members who purchase their memberships prior to the grand opening of the Museum in 2008, which will expire one year after the official grand opening date of the Museum.
To help you, the expiration date is printed on your membership card. You will also receive renewal notices via email (if you have provided an email address to us) and U.S. mail prior to when your membership expires. If your membership is expiring and you have not received a renewal notice within three months prior to the expiration date, please contact the Membership Office via email at membership@h-dmuseum.com or via phone by calling 877-HD MUSEUM (1-877-436-8738), (members outside the U.S. should call 414-287-2700). |
How do I renew my membership? |
When you receive your renewal notice, you can fill out the renewal notice and send it back to the membership office and we will renew your membership and issue you a new membership card. Or as an alternative, you can visit the Membership web site and renew your membership there, in which case your membership will be immediately updated, and a new card will be created and sent to you. |
How long will it take for my new cards to arrive? |
Your new membership cards should arrive two (2) to three (3) weeks after your purchase. If your cards take longer than indicated to reach you, please contact the Membership Office at membership@h-dmuseum.com, or call the membership office at 877-HD MUSEUM (1-877-436-8738), (members outside the U.S. should call 414-287-2700). |
Can I use my membership without my cards? How? |
You can always visit without your cards – just stop at the Membership Desk with a valid photo identification (state-issued driver’s license or other government identification), and the Visitor Experience Associate will verify your membership level by looking you up in our system. The retail store personnel will be able to verify your membership in the same way, so you can still receive your discount at the retail store as well. |
What if I lose my membership cards? |

We will print you a new card and send it to you via US mail. You can also come in to the Museum and request a new card at the front Membership desk, and the Visitor Experience Associate will be able to print your new card onsite immediately. |
