Get Ready to Ride

Watching riders go around a closed course

It's about the spirit of adventuer and the experiences that only come from riding two wheels.
You're ready to learn how to ride a motorcycle. Why not learn from a program that takes rider education to its highest level? It's called the Rider's Edge® New Rider Course.
The idea behind the Harley-Davidson® New Rider Course at Rider’s Edge® academy is simple: we want to enable non-riders to experience what riding a motorcycle is all about in a fun and rewarding way.
The goal is to take you from being a complete novice to a full licence holder in just six days! We firmly believe that learning to ride should be one of the greatest experiences of your life – and how could that experience be any better than learning to ride on a real Harley-Davidson® motorcycle?
Which Harley-Davidson motorcycle was made just for you? You'll never know until you try a few. Explore the 2010 Harley-Davidson motorcycles, then check out the try a bike area for some help in deciding which might be right for you.
Learn about the five families of Harley-Davidson® motorcycles. Each has its own distinct look and riding style:
Sportster®
Sportster® models, part of the Harley-Davidson family since 1957, have a narrow profile and two engine options (883cc and 1200cc).
Dyna®
With a low, laid-back look, Dyna® models are often called "factory customs".
Softail®
Softail® models look like the classic hardtail Harley-Davidson® motorcycles of the 1930's, but with modern comfort and control.
Touring
With ample storage space, the Touring models are built for comfort on the long haul.
VRSC™
The V-Rod® models are the "muscle bikes" in the Harley-Davidson family - power cruisers with hot rod styling.
