When I took delivery of my 2016 Tri Glide, I knew from showroom trials that the stock seat would not allow any comfort for my 6'6" frame. After an hour in the dealership, trying every seat available for the trike, with the exception of the "out of stock" Road Zep, I went with the TALLBOY SEAT and fixed backrest. It does provide about 2" of
seat length, but after 30 minutes on the trike the seat wants to push me forward and my butt is numb. Now I'm out close to $500.00 with the seat, backrest and non-adjustable mount. If you are thinking of a Tri Glide purchase and are over 6'3" I'm afraid Harley has nothing to offer. Save your money and don't be fooled by the TALLBOY designation!

I'm 6'1" and have a 2015 Ultra Limited. With the stock seat I felt like I was sitting on the tank and when going to shift after my hip would lock up and it was extremely painful. I adjusted my shift levers and that helped a bit with the hip pain, but that was it. After reading reviews and talking with Andy in the parts department at Gail's Harley Davidson, he also suggested the Hammock seat. He had both in stock so we went out to the parking lot to try them out. My wife was with me as well so I could make sure she was comfortable. While the Hammock seat felt better than the stock seat, I still felt like I was sitting on the tank. He put the Tallboy on and I got on the bike. It was like night and day! Then I had my wife get on, and she loved it as well. She lost some space, but she actually like it as it put me closer to her, which she liked as I would block more wind. She's the type that gets cold in 60 degree riding weather. LOL We ended up putting around 180 miles on it after buying the seat yesterday and I have no complaints at all thus far. It's not a huge change as you can see by the description, but it's just enough. It is a much more "natural" feeling riding now.

I have had this seat for a year or so on my 2014 ultra FLHTK my wife hates it. During long rides 150 or more my legs get numb I also get pain in my back pockets if you know what I mean. I am now looking at the Road Zeppelin The stock seat I felt to close, felt like I was sitting on the tank as I am 5'11". The seat needs some gel or better padding,However it does push the rider back away from the tank if you are the taller rider looking for this fit.

I rode this seat for a few months but found it extremely uncomfortable for long rides and ultimately put my stock seat back on. I do a lot of 2-up touring and generally ride around 10k miles per year.
The Tallboy has very thin padding compared to the stocker and has a dished out shape which creates painful pressure points on my butt under both back pockets.
My old lady is no fan of it either and was thrilled to see the stock seat again as well!
The extra room was nice, I loved having the extra leg room for my
six-two frame, but I just couldn't take the pain!
For me, to use it again, i'd have to send it out to a seatmaker/upholstery guy and have the shape flattened out and about 3" of foam added before I could use it comfortably.
For now, I've just become accustomed to being cramped a bit with the stock seat!
