Like most stock seats the passenger gets uncomfortable on the longer rides. I bought the Sundowner because I liked the looks, size and it'd except the adjustable rider backrest. It does raise you a little bit but what would you expect with more padding. The front of the seat was a little wider but that didn't have any effect on me or my footing. I'm comfortable and so is my wife, a happy wife means less distractions. I ride a 2015 Street Glide, I'm 5'11" with a longer inseam, no issues with my footing or the Sundowner seat.

A friend suggested this seat. My wife has fibromyalgia and I have a bad back. The stock seat on our 2016 street glide was so uncomfortable she couldn't ride and I couldn't go far. We got this seat and now I can't keep her off the bike and my back feels great.

The stitching on this seat was awful, the back rest opening is all bunched up on the first and second seat I ordered.

I have had two other Sundowner seats and never had an issue until my third purchase for my 2014 Street Glide on April 19, 2016. The stitching by the opening for the rider backrest was all crumpled up. I complained to HD customer care and they gave me an excuse that it was done on purpose so that when a rider backrest was installed the stitch will not tear and also for a heavier rider as to not tear the stitching as well. I do not buy that excuse for bad workmanship! I am very disappointed with the lack of workmanship on this seat. Mortified with the heavier rider explanation and the fix of buying additional items to fix the bad stitching, REALLY? My shop was awesome in assisting me with the seat issue but HD customer not so much. If you have a bad product admit it and make your customer happy.
