Rated 3.3 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good high flow A/C I like the fact that i can use my stock cover with this kit. I had a heavy breather on my last bike and it stuck out too far and was right at my knee making for an uncomfortable riding position. Works great and the bike seems to run cooler now. July 17, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Nice try, skip this I tried this kit, as it's the cheapest stage 1 kit, and "stock". Skip it. Buy a better product. The instructions are terrible. So bad that for installation it refers to the stock equipment simply as remove the stock equipment. How much of it? To where? It never tells you how much of the stock to remove. The induction bracket is shown in the drawing and it looks like it should remain. Even has lines drawn from it to the assembly unit. Guess what?! Better not include it! If you do you'll never get the gap between the throttle body and the back plate to close up! Harley owes me some screws and a lot of time now because of their really bad drawing! Then when it's all over the stock cover just looks stuck on top and doesn't cover all of the bare metal back plate. Do yourself a favor and get a kit that at least has a black back plate to blend in to the motor and a better looking cover. June 19, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Stage 1 Air Cleaner kit I decided I liked the look of the stock filter cover so I saw this kit and it used your cover but a new backing plate...... It's freaking ugly! The new posts are bare cast aluminum and they stick out like a sore thumb which in turn makes the electrical harness stick out. This is on a 2014 Tri Glide and dyno'd with a the Sreamin Eagle Super Tuner. I am now going to have to spend 400 bucks on the Heavy Breather Elite (Need the leg room) and then another Dyno as I know those have more flow then this kit..... Oh the Sceamin Eagle cover is stupid....it sticks on with Velcro and sticks out June 7, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Additional torque and sound but.... I had this part installed by the dealer since the instructions stated you had to remove the Induction Module Bracket prior to installation. To do so you had to remove the fuel tank, which I wasn't comfortable doing. But if you look at the picture on this site, it shows the air cleaner installed with the bracket still in place. Either the picture needs to be changed or the instructions have to be updated to state that the bracket removal is optional. The dealer did remove the bracket during installation. Positive: It adds a moderate additional torque and sound and the Screaming Eagle cover insert looks great. I have Street Cannon mufflers and they sound a littler deeper. Negative: Besides the bracket issue, there is also the issue of the total cost. Since this part requires a Stage 1 download the price more than doubles. If you are okay with this, then go for it. Does Bracket have to be removed?

Hi - just purchased this kit for 2014 FLHTK. The instructions, like many HD products, are poorly written (or maybe I just poorly understand them)
in this picture, it shows the bracket that supports the throttle body still attached. However when I installed this and left the bracket on, it will not sit flush to the throttle body creating a gap about the thickness of the black bar which would indicate it would need to be removed. In addition, if I did take it (the bracket) off, there appears to be something overhanging and being supported by this bracket. I'm a little confused.

Thank you.

Great question. We apologize for our tardy response. We did some digging and learned the product photo shows the part installed incorrectly. Geez, that's embarrassing. Sorry about that. To install, you must remove the support induction module bracket. We're working on getting the photo replaced to show it properly installed soon. Thank you.

We replaced the stock air filters on our 2009 Ultra classic and street glide, with HD stage 1 upgrade. (part number on the filter is 29244-08 682901) We cannot find the specifications for the bolts holding it on the bike. The bolts are different than the bolts shown in the service manual for the stock air cleaner, so the torque specifications given in the manual will not work. Can you provide these torque specs?

Support induction module bracket

Several people have asked whether it is necessary to remove the "Support Induction Module Bracket" as specified in the instructions. This step requires removal of the fuel tank and added a lot more time to the job. Am I wrong, or does the picture provided on H-D's website show that the bracket is still in place after the installation of the Stage 1 Air Cleaner?
