Just got finished installing this fuel gauge on my 2016 Iron 883. It was not a hard job, but it did take about 3 hours. If you have basic mechanical skills and basic tools, and can read instructions (I mean read them from start to finish before you start) and then go slowly step by step, doing exactly as the instructions say, you can install this.
Getting the fuel-pump out of the tank was a tight fit, and then putting it back in was also a tight fit, so go slow and watch what you are doing so you don't damage the fuel sensor, pump or wires.
My overall impression is, I love it, it shows me how much fuel I have, and the dash mounted yellow low fuel light will also come on with low fuel.
When you look at the gauge on a full tank of gas, it shows 4 blue bars, as the fuel is used, the amount of bars decreases. when you are at just under one gallon of fuel, you will have only one blue bar, and the OEM yellow dash low fuel light will come on indicating its time for more fuel.
It even has a auto dimmer, that will dim the blue lights at night and brighten them up in sun light. Very easy to see at a quick glance even in sunny Florida.

No more need to keep an eye on the miles you have ride. It's very precise and works great.
