Rated 1 out of 5 by Disappointed Performance wise, this is a great item. However, I have two issues with the kit. First, the backplate in the kit I received was very poorly cast. The edges were rough and not completely filled in, like the casting mold was damaged. I have no doubt that the part would function, but I refuse to put anything of such low quality on a bike in which I have invested $20K+. Second, Why doesn't Harley offer these kits with the chrome or the black backplates? The kit contains a poor quality backplate, and upgrades are sold separately. I will let you draw your own conclusions on the reasons for this. I took the kit back to dealer, then using the installation instructions ordered all of the individual parts replacing the backplate with the chrome version. Saved $30 over buying the kit and chrome backplate separately. March 7, 2014

1. By adding this is there any problems with the 2014 Ultra Limited's warranty?
2. How good is the download that goes with the addition of the stage 1 air. The last time I did this on my 2010 Ultra Classic it ran well but I always felt is needed some tweaking to run as smooth as before the mods. Just for information, I would also be adding the V&H Monster Rounds for mufflers if I add the Stage 1 Air to the bike.

Answer:
Hi Powser,
As far as your warranty question goes, I would recommend taking a look at www.h-d.com/warranty, or calling 1-800-258-2464 with a specific question like this one.

And since this kit requires ECM calibration, I would recommend contacting your local dealership. They should know more about the download and can make sure your bike is running as smoothly as possible. www.h-d.com/dealer

Hope that helps!
