I have flames on my bags close to the bottom and I am trying to figure out if the extensions will cover up the flames.
Thanks, Jim

Answer:
They actually won't cover that much of your saddlebag, it's just enough to attach the extensions. I would say maybe half an inch or so.

Hey Joseph. Your local H-D dealer can assist you with obtaining paint for the saddlebag extensions as well as getting the extensions painted to match Big Blue Pearl.

Answer:
Hey jjh2498,

This extension kit will add approximately 2"-4". The extensions sort of flare towards the rear, so they get longer towards the rear.

Removal of saddlebag extensions

Is this something that can be added and removed to change the look without much trouble and damage to the saddlebags?

Also, I'd painted to match, it is still obvious that they are extensions rather than stretched bags?

Answer:
Hey DAP525,

Check out the instruction sheet located in the "More Info" tab. Installation requires drilling and applying adhesive.

With the extension kit, it won't be as seamless of a look like the Stretched Saddlebag Bottoms that we offer. But if you have either the Charcoal Slate or Rio Red 2011 CVO Road Glide, the bottom of the bags are pretty dark, so I think once painted they would blend nicely.
